Scooby-Doo and Scrappy Doo: Season 1

This DVD shows the start of ending Scooby Do the mysterys are sloppy solved. I got it to see how bad it was. I good cartoon to show about Scooby doo.

It has been decades since I have seen most of the cartoons in this set, if I saw them at all. This is a treasure trove of effectively new to me Scooby Doo cartoons. And even though these cartoons do feature Scrappy Doo, there is not really much difference between these and the 70's and early 80's Scooby Cartoons that preceded them.There are a few surprising pop culture references in these episodes. Shaggy mentions Star Wars in Strange Encounters, and Scrappy name drops Mick Jagger and other in the Neon Phantom.The final episode of this DVD set/season, The Ransom of Scooby Chief, appears to have been a backdoor pilot for the next incarnation. Fred Daphne and Velma are only at the beginning and end of the episode. Scooby and Shaggy get kidnapped and Scrappy teams up with his old friends, Annie and Duke, to save them. So instead of the much maligned short cartoons that followed featuring Scooby Shaggy and Scrappy, it could have been Scrappy Doo and Friends.Warner Bros did a good job with this release. The episodes look great.It has been a long wait to get these. Only a few are my favorite episodes, because I'm not a huge fan of Scrappy...never was. I much preferred Scooby Dum. But this is a classic must have for any Scooby Doo fan and collector.

Our 4 and 5yr old girls love Scooby-Doo and were excited to learn there was a smaller version ( so to speak) in the form of Scrappy. Rare to find him available to watch so this was a great addition to all our Scooby-Doo videos.

I was so happy when I saw that WB is finally releasing Scooby & Scrappy on DVD! It has 16 episodes and TWO discs (8 episodes on each disc.) It's more of the classic Scooby-Doo that we loved but with Scooby's mischievous nephew added in. I will say I don't like what they've done with Scrappy. Turning him into one of the antagonists of the franchise. I actually enjoyed them adding Scrappy to The Scooby gang. This is actually the entire series of Scooby & Scrappy as it only had 16 episodes (the half hour episodes that is). I hope they will release the rest of the series (the 15 minute episode series). As well as more of Scooby-Doo's other classic series.

I did not care for Scrappy Doo. I put with the rest of the show. Do not watch.

I remember as a kid when one season of Scooby-Doo ended and all summer ads ran, saying Scooby was going to have someone new join the gang! I was so excited to find out who this could be and when it came on Saturday morning that fall, and that box fell from the train, and I heard " Uncle Scooby? Hi, it`s me, Scrappy Doo" I was so excited to see the new shows! I collect all the DVDs involving Scooby and the gang. I just like the scary feel of the cartoons and the funny bits that happen! It`s a classic for sure! Can't wait to get this set, and find out when the others will be released!

i love everything scooby doo, scooby and scrappy doo actually had 5 seasons which i didnt know about before i saw it on tubi but i love season one where he meets his nephew scrappy and goes on adventures with him

I got this for my son who is a Scooby Doo fan. Nothing available in the UK features Scrappy Doo, so I bought it on import. It’s as good as I remember and my son loves it!I was very impressed by how quickly it was delivered.Please note if you are going to be watching this in the UK you will need a multi region DVD player, as the USA is region 1 and the UK is region 2.

Not much needs to be said for this gem. At last, we get the entire first season of "Scooby and Scrappy Doo", all together in one 2-disc DVD set. I really get tired of everybody hating on poor Scrappy. These episodes are fantastic. "The Night Ghoul of Wonderworld" is my second favourite Scooby episode of all time. Also worth noting is that these episodes are all with the entire gang.
