Great for elementary!
I am an elementary school counselor and in December I did a classroom lesson for k-2 students on different holidays with the lesson being centered on learning about others, and being respectful about our differences. Our school district has around 30 different home languages so we are very diverse. The illustrations are beautiful and the pages are too word heavy for the littles and if they are interested you can expand on the holidays with the info pages in the back.

Good kids book
Nice book for my grandsons. It is perfect for their attention span and covers many countries. Beautiful art work. I like the more detailed information in the back of the book for the adults to read.

Wonderful book for toddlers (and adults)
Our family loves this book! We have a 2 year old and we love reading it to her- it's a great way to expose her to different cultures, and I've learned new things as well reading it! I enjoyed reading the explanations of the different holidays in the front and back of the book, and the way they sound out the names for the holidays helps to give me a chance at pronouncing them correctly.

Good Book
I used this book to supplement my child's education by using to teach about celebrations that occur around the world in order to make my child more knowledgeable about other cultures.

Better than expected!
Love this book! I got it for my five year old, to be read aloud to our 15 month old. They’ll both learn from it—even I’ve even learned from it! It’s beautifully done.

A Captivating Book of Holidays Around the World
This is a must have book for every child’s library. I plan to buy several for holiday gifts. Beautiful, colorful illustrations and captivating text take children on a round the world adventure exploring holidays worldwide. Features 13 holidays total in countries like Sweden, Mexico and the US to Japan, China, Russia, Nigeria and more. Complete with notes that embellish on the holidays for older readers and calendars for reference. An ideal selection for global-minded children and their parents. My granddaughter loves it and so do I!

Beautifully illustrated book
Purchased as a homeschool learning tool and it worked out great. Love the rhyming and its beautiful illustrations. I also very much liked the end of the book has an overview of the different holidays helping to add more understand to each celebration.

Beautiful illustrations but not enough substance
I was expecting so much more. The illustrations are lovely but each festival has a couple of rhyming lines with no explanation, it would be very difficult for a child (or adult!) with no knowledge of the festival to know what was going on. There are brief descriptions at the back but I was expecting things like recipes, play idea and things to make.
