Oasis (The Last Humans Book 1)

Awesome n engaging. Da descriptions, maon characters.n overl setting captures n retain attention till the very ending. Cant wait to start reading the second book in the series.

I love the whole idea of the story. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes sci-fi and fantasy genres. It was an amazing book and it deserves the rating given.

It seems to me that there is a trend in American movies and books for the characters to ignore anything that is said to them and to continue on the path which they want to pursue to their own detriment. Having said this I could not finish this book as I became too angry with this attitude and it was better for me to delete the book. The main character asks his "imaginary friend"/alter ego to help him throw off the mind control that is holding him down. Once this is done he refuses to accept that this has happened and behaves in the most stupid and unacceptable fashion. I just could not continue. It was so childish.

Intriguing idea but not as enjoyable as I’d hoped, too many preconceived ideas about the story I think.It seemed to unravel and not unravel on the same level without getting anywhere. I had hoped for a greater expanded story with more aspects to being the last humans.Unfortunately not a memorable book.

The book is aimed a teens and is another Teen-type rebellion type of doing the opposite what they are told to do because they feel that they want to do their own thing - ultimately leading into trouble - I told you so feeling about it...

I read Oasis (The Last Humans Book 1) in one sitting, although I hadn't intended to. I enjoyed it immensely. The characters are brilliantly drawn, and the plot is original and clever. I'll now read the next one, but this time I'll try to pace myself; something that must have taken ages to write oughtn't to be gulped down in four hours. Highly and enthusiastically recommended.

I thought this was a very good story & the ending came as an enjoyable surprise! I did guess some of the ending but not all & that's unusual for me.I liked the characters but I'm glad I don't live in their world, though I think there are changes happening that would be good for themAlso loved the idea of people being seen as children until they are 30 after all if you live for hundreds of years why grow up too soon
