Mingdak LED Aquarium Light For Fish Tanks,30 LEDS,22.5-Inch,RGB Color
I bought the 30 LED (22.5 inch) light to add to my Aqueon LED hood. I have a 16 gallon "wide screen" tank. I wanted more light since I am giving a try at having live plants in my tank. I was able to use the suction cup mounts to attach to the hood by removing the suction cups and using heavy duty epoxy to glue the clips to the hood so the light is less than 2" above the water. The combination of the Aqueon LEDs and the Mingdak LEDs looks very nice. The Aqueon LEDs are whiter, and the Mingdak LEDs even on the white setting have a slightly bluer hue. My plants seem to be doing well so far, but it has been less than a month so the jury is still out.I misunderstood that I couldn't customer the exact color - I thought I could independently adjust the amount of red, green, and blue to create the exact color of light I wanted. Instead there are many preset colors on the remote to select. For my tank only the white or the blue are useful. I can adjust the brightness whic is great for the blue light at night.Overall I'm happy with it. I'll update this in the future if anything changes.

Beautiful light, sized perfect. Odd remote operation.
Works great. Added very pretty colours in our 28 gallon bowfront aquarium. Fit perfectly along the back wall of the glass. Suction cups work great. We had a problem with this light seemingly changing colors on it's own or turning itself off at first, until we realized that our Vizio TV remote is apparently on the same frequency as this light. The Vizio remote's volume and channel buttons seem to operate this light perfectly.Aside from the TV remote issue, the remote that came with the flight works great, but the buttons are oddly labeled. The only mode that calmly scrolls through all the colors calmly is "Smooth", the other options are very sporadic/strobing/epileptic. Also note, while in the "Smooth" mode the "Brightness" button doesn't change the Brightness, only changes the speed at which the light scrolls through the colors. If you press Brightness all the way up while in Smooth mode, it cycles through all the colors every 6 seconds. If you set brightness all the way down while it Smooth mode, it takes closer to a minute to cycle all the colors. The Brightness button seems to actually change the brightness when the light is set on a single colour, however.

It's okay at most
Read reviews and had seen the pic's, looked good so I made the purchase.LIGHT:When I plugged in the light, it was really dim. Dimmer than what other people who had purchased the same light showed. Most likely because of the way the camera picks up the light which makes it 'look' brighter. I used the remote to make it as bright as possible and still not very bright. I have a 60-gallon fish take that I placed it in. Placing the light in different spots of the take made no difference.REMOTE:Hit and miss. I was so irritated that at first, the light would not respond to the remote. On/Off, color change, bright levels, etc. Nothing. Moving the remote around I found a few spots I need to be in order for the light to respond.BUT when the remote does work, it's a nice feature to have. We use the fish tank as a night light now (again because the light is so dim).SUCTION CUPS:Only had this light for 1 day, installed in the fish tank and three different times I walked in the room to find the light floating around the tank. Not sure if I should get a bottle of Windex and clean the glass before installing the light..?? (Yes that was a joke...). But seriously, I did make sure the inside was as clean as possible where the light is installed and it still failed. I'm sure I will go home after work and find it floating.All-in-all you get what you pay for. For the price, it's simply okay. If I knew how dim the light was, how unresponsive the remote was, I would not have bought it.

Good replacement for those expensive LED aquarium lights.
So...the cats jumped up on my standalone over the top ExPeNsIvE (because I was stupid enough to buy it retail from Petsmart) and collapsed the light into the aquarium. Boom, out of a nice aquarium light. I thought I would give this a shot and have been very pleasantly surpised. My only beef with the product is if the power goes out and comes back on, it defaults to multi-color flashing every second endlessly, which obviously, could seriously stress your fish, especially if the power goes out and on while you are away, at work or asleep all night. So you probably cannot use it with a timer, though I haven't tried.Other than that, cheapest quality waterproof LED fish aquarium light you'll find. I'm especially fond of keeping the aquarium lit in dark blue all night long simulating moonlight.

Perfect night light for my 55g planted
I love the light. I set it to the color I want at a dim setting on a plug timer, comes on in the evening after the lights go out on my planted 55g iwagumi. I wanted something particular for the evening hours that would still show the aquascape and the shrimp out in force, as well as the fish in their slowed night time mode.I love that it's submersible. IMO, the only possible improvement for my needs would be a hard-attached controller, no remote. Remotes get lost and this is a light, not a TV.I love that it powers on/off in the last setting, so once it's on the timer I don't have to mess with it until I want something different, whenever that happens.

Great
The product is amazing I've had it now for a few months and never had a big issue, the only problem is that the strobe, or fade feature is very fast and no a slow transition
