My first taste of this flour - at least in my own preparing baked goods. It is distinctive in flavor - I had a recipe that specifically called for chestnut flour - and I had no idea how hard it was to find. A little more pricey - and the jury is out on if special order of an imported flour is worth it .? I think Almond flour "works" too as a substitute - without a huge flavor differentiation.
