My go to book when I need detail and background.

My wife bought me this dictionary for a gift. It is very handy in my morning Bible reading.

This is a great companion book for anyone who is reading and studying the bible. I recently started my journey of wanting to gain my own understanding of the bible, its content, and growing my relationship with the most high. For reference, I read the 1611 King James Bible As stated in the listing, this dictionary bible has definitions for lots of the many places (e.g. Cannan, Eden), people (e.g. Cush, Nimrod, Shem), and false gods (e.g. Baal, Ishtar, Artemis) mentioned in the bible. In addition, there are also references to the different books, chapters, and verses associated to each word, which provide more context and understanding. There are also pictures included as well, to further drive home your understanding. I chose the 1993 version, because while newer editions can provide better understanding, newer editions also leave room for alterations, which in my opinion, opens the door for spreading disinformation and confusion. I personally like to get as close to the original as possible, if not the original itself. Overall, I am stoked and satisfied.
