NOT low sugar!
If you truly are interested in "low sugar," compare labels carefully! I bought this based on the "low sugar" label, but each serving (defined as only 28 grams, whereas some other brands define a serving as 40 grams) contains 32 grams of added sugar. The packaging itself does not say "low sugar," but the Amazon listing does, which is misleading.

Pure sugar filled with bugs.
These are like gummy candies... Very sweet, with a syrupy taste. I just opened this package today. Saw what looked like a black crack in one of the spears... Thinking it was mold I cracked it open to investigate and a dozen or so small black bugs fell out. All dead fortunately, likely from the dehydration process... But disgusting none the less. They're also way too sweet. I'm not one to normally buy dehydrated fruit, but was looking for a healthy snack and these were advertised as low sugar... According to the nutrition facts there are 65g of sugar per 100g serving, and 32 of those 65g are added sugars (Meaning they double the sugar content). I've literally eaten candies that are less sweet than these, it's borderline sickening.Won't buy again, wouldn't recommend, and will be avoiding the seller in the future if their idea of quality control is filled with bugs.

I have to disagree with most about the sugar
Maybe it's because I got so used to the dried papaya that Wegmans used to sell in bulk foods (prior to COVID-19 ceasing bulk food sections), but this is not sugary at all. It's simply dried fruit. The label does mention added sugars, but for the most part this seems like a pretty low-sugar, healthy snack to me. The papaya isn't crystallized like a lot of the dried papaya I've had. I assume those were that way due to added sugar.

Might as well get Skittles
These fruits are covered in added sugar. They look delicious, and probably are, but are excessively sweet with the sugar coating. Kind of upsetting after taking the first bite and expecting to taste delicious papaya.

Papaya is great, but mailed without protective packaging!
The dried papaya is absolutely delicious! Great taste and texture- like candy! However it was sent without any kind of mailing packaging with the mailing label just slapped over the nutritional info. That is not acceptable.

Candy, not fruit.
Product has way too much added sugar. If I had wanted candy I would have ordered some... One bite and the pkg went into the trash. Not what I wanted at all.

Tasty papaya.
Delicious thick papaya without artificial additives. Satisfying. This is my second purchase. My third order: some of the spears are more yellow than orange. I don't like the yellow. I guess I got a few duds. Most are still orange. I lowered rating to four stars.
