Smoky, rust red Pimentón de La Vera or smoked paprika, is the secret ingredient in a wide variety of Spanish recipes, including authentic paella. Made from freshly harvested peppers smoked for 15 days over encina oak wood fires, pimentón is slightly sweet tasting with an intense smoked flavor. Its intense smoky flavor sets it apart from the bland paprika found in most grocery stores. La Dalia is the original and best brand of Pimentón de La Vera and they still use stone mills to create the finest, most flavorful smoked paprika in Spain. The peppers used to produce all three varieties of La Dalia Pimentón de la Vera are hand-harvested each year in early autumn. Just after harvesting, the peppers are sent to wooden smokehouses filled with the smoke of encina oak wood fires. For 15 days, the peppers are dried in this intense smoke. Once dried, La Dalia grinds the peppers on traditional granite millstones - resulting in a silky, rust-red paprika that is both deeply flavored and smoky. Delicious!
I found out about this brand of paprika from watching Spain on a fork. Albert was using this one before he was sponsored by another brand. Now I notice he's back to this brand again. I never strayed from it I think it tastes delicious You're given a good amount at a good price the little tins are adorable, and the varieties are fantastic. What's not to love?

Great Assortment
All three are delicious, with a good level of smokiness. The hot is definitely hot, and the agridulce may be my new favorite paprika.

This is the stuff!
I live in an apartment without access to an outdoor space for grilling, so I find creative ways to bring smokiness into my cooking --- and La Dalia smoked paprika has become a necessary tool in my arsenal. The flavors and aromas are beautiful, rich and smoky. The hot is not as hot as Hungarian hot paprika, so I sometimes will kick the heat up a notch by combining the two, but that's not a complaint since I have so many different dried chilis in my pantry it's easy to mix and match them to get what I'm looking for. Definitely recommend the trio of hot, sweet and bittersweet to play around with them. Also, the packaging is nice --- the flip tops for sprinkling and scooping work well, easy to open, stay closed and the lid doesn't get in the way of sprinkling.

Excellent clean flavor
By far the best product I have used in its class. After trying to emulate Chorizo and Linguica reminiscent of the shop made products of my youth, this brand hit the flavor profile I have been looking for and produced the most consistently wonderful, not too smoky or bitter flavor without overpowering the meal. I originally got the recommendation from a “Taste of Artisan” recipe on line and have not changed since.

La Dalia paprika cans corrosion
I used one of the paprika flavors partially after purchase. The product was excellent in my opinion. However, two of the three cans exhibited corrosion on the outside and one can punctured through. I called La Dalia and spoke to a customer service representative and was told that the tin cans the product were in is not supposed to corrode that quickly and it was due to defect. This is a FYI post.

Paprika spice
If you haven’t tried this spice, you’ve really got to. I put it on everything. My chicken, my pasta, my eggs. Delicious. I like the three pack because the one in red is spicy. I’ve tried several different brands of smoked paprika, but this brand is my favorite.
