The burn out pretty quickly for led's
These lights are great for my Experimental Aircraft (RV7A) but only lasted a few years then several large chunks started going dark. Sometimes a few of them would come on after they were turned on for a while. Plenty of light to illuminate a cockpit or cab when using the white. The red is also perfect for night operation. You'll definitely want a dimmer in line with these. I'm ordering them again because the price is ok and the interior is designed for them.

Not bad at all
Not bad at all! They're not exactly "superbright" type lights but I don't think that would ever be needed in these applications. I'm using these to light the outside of a 4x4 vehicle at night, where I need light in general (white) but often want to preserve night vision (red). They seem better made than other LED strips I have AND it actually came 5 inches longer than described! As I say, not bad at all..!

Fantastic customer service
I was having a little trouble figuring out the wiring but the company has fantastic customer service. To get independent control of both colors you'll need the 2 channel dimmer switch. Connect the red wire to channel 1 output + and the black wire to channel 1 -. Then connect the white wire to channel 2 +. If you do have questions email or call the call the company, they have great service.
