Replacement Laptop Keyboard for Toshiba Satellite P750 P750D P755 P755D P770 P770D P775 P775D Qosmio X770 X 775 Series

The keyboard replacement was easy to install and works well. The old keyboard was getting almost unmanageable and the installation of this new keyboard took all of 15 minutes to complete. The price was excellent. Now the old Toshiba works like new.

I installed a competing brand keyboard previous to this one and it worked for a few weeks and eventually keys started to not work again. I found with my model of laptop the ribbon cable has to be folded and with the pressure on the keyboard itself, it was pinching the ribbon cable which probably caused the damage.It works, but be warned, you may need to find some way to keep the ribbon cable from being pinched. My solution was to add some backing from the cloth side of a velcrostrip (which is reasonably soft and flexes without creasing) to the ribbon cable. It causes the keyboard to bow a slight bit in the center where the ribbon cable is but I've not had any issues with the ribbon breaking on this new one yet.I can't really fault the company that makes this keyboard for it, however, as it seem to be a design flaw with the laptop (I figure). After all, I wouldn't be looking for a replacement keyboard if theirs had worked properly!

This is an excellent replacement keyboard except that the letters started wearing off immediately.
