Tastes like a tomato should taste!
I am jumping on the band wagon with everyone else who saw the article in Food and Wine. Wonderful tomatoes. I used to buy Muir Glen, but they sold and quality has suffered. This is a big can of tomatoes with lots of sauce. So use what you need and put the rest in freezer bags. My one complaint is with Amazon and its packing. There was also two big mayo in this box so the tomato can got a dent. Did not break thru so I am using and decided not to return. Not happy about this. In fact, packing has totally gone downhill lately.

Gorgeous tomatoes- they are the BEST
We ordered a can of these tomatoes based on an article in Food & Wine magazine. We were not disappointed! Used them in making Amatriciana, and they were a delight- they made a lovely sauce, just by lightly crushing them in the pan with the pork jowl, and required nearly NO seasoning, the flavor is that rich and bright! No veiny bits or hard centers, just sweet, firm, juicy tomato goodness. I recommend vac-packing the remainder of a can, if you can't use them all at once. Delicious! We will definitely be buying these again!

San marzano tomatoes
Bought these for a recepie that called for this particular brand. These tomatoes are good but in my opinion not worth the hefty price, therefore four stars. There are other san marzano tomatoes from Italy that are just as good for a fraction of the price, maybe even more tasty such as a similar product in Costco that sells for a few dollars per can less.

These are the real deal San Marzano tomato’s. Great flavor. I used this large van to make awesome tomato soup. It did not last long.

When I make red sauce, I use canned tomatoes. I've been using the same recipe for years, but the last few batches I've made came out tasting kind of meh. So I decided to buy as many brands of canned tomato as I could find. The batch I made with Alta Cucina was the best batch I have ever made. Coincidentally, I was in Las Vegas around the same time and ate at Buddy V's Ristorante and they have these exact same cans around the restaurant as decoration.In case this item is unavailable, I found Scalfani have a very similar taste as Alta Cucina.In case you're wondering, I was using Hunt's and Muir Glen brand when my batches were coming out meh
