Summary: The story revolves around a small town called Arnhill. Protagonist Joe thorne gets an Email 'I know what happened to your sister, its happening again' Startled by the Email he visits his childhood town again and revisits his childhood, his love, his life. But that's not it something bad, something evil haunts him. Something that made him to evacuate the town earlier. Whenever he tries to reveal the dark secret, he is held by something(no spoiler😁) The story alternates between joe's childhood and now, believe me end of every chapter leaves you surprised/thrilled and there are lots of cliffhangers and unpredictable plot twist that leaves you mind fecked. Story: 5 stars Character building: 4.5 stars Plot twists: 5 stars Word building: 4.5stars Reading level: easy

Though the story is predictable but it keeps u glued till the end

This is the first thriller novel that i hav read and it has intrigued me to read more books of thriller-horror genre. It even has some philosophical facts which made me love it. I hav added a picture of one such thing for reference.

The book is creepy but not the kind of creepy that sends chills down your spine. It's horror and not just a murder mystery or a psychological thriller. So pick it up only if you like horror. I started expecting it to be a simple or a pschological thriller but as the reading progressed I realised that it was horror and hence expected some chilling, creepy moments. The book gives almost none. I liked the ending, probably the only creepy part. The beginning is a slow read though the second half has some unpredictable twists which is why I am giving this book 3 stars. Solely for the unexpected parts. Overall, the book is neither too scary nor too much of a thriller. But it answers the questions it creates in the reader's head.

Another brilliant read from the author of the Chalkman. I love this one too and am eagerly waiting for the next one!

I really liked this book. This was atmospheric and also had traces of the supernatural that were well blended with the story. Plus, i love books when they feature a writer or a teacher and this one had a teacher as a protagonist. I haven't read Stephen king novels, but if you have let me tell you in advance that this book is very similar in concept to his Pet Cemetery (something i learnt through many Goodreads reviews). I haven't read that one, so this was an entire new premise for me. I enjoyed it and loved the twists, but more than that, i loved the atmosphere.
