Multiple uses - great for artists/crafters
I used one inch and half tape to finish my original oil paintings. I cut the dust paper backing to the size of the back and adhered it using the tape. Finished the sides as well in one continuous strip. The out come was beautiful and the tape is sturdy enough to utilize for handling, hanging, and storing my work. My paintings look professional and a frame is unnecessary.I also used this tape to reinforce my journals and notebooks on the spine, as well as my cell phone holder. Feels nice to the touch too since its fabric.I would also recommend using an X-acto knife and cutting pad/board when cutting.I really like this versatile tape!!!

Nice
As advertised. I used it to repair the biding on a black lamp shade. My workmanship was not ideal but the tape was easy to use and has held up quite well. Would buy again.

Protects Notebook Spines!
I'm not a book binder, but I do sometimes stitch up my own notebooks -- to use in a Midori Traveler's Notebook style cover -- and this tape has been doing a great job protecting the spines.

For more than just book repair.
I had a little painting on stretched canvas. I couldn't find the frame I wanted and didn't want the expense of custom framing, so I bound the perimeter edge of the canvas stretcher with this tape. Then all I had to do was to add the eye screws and wire and hang it. The color compliments the subject, and it was so inexpensive! I used some of the black tape on a different painting with similar pleasing results.

Loved it. Now to also buy the 4 inch one
First time binding my own book. I made this for a little friend for her school project of wiring a book about snakes. I so loved how it turned out and the tape (first time using book tape) worked so well. I don’t have experience with another brand. But I loved how easy it was to use and it’s been over a week now and the book is great.

Fixes the binding of books
I bought this to fix the binding on some books I read to my children and following the how to repair book binding directions on e-how, I was able to use this and some bookbinding glue to really tighten up the binding of a children's bible that was falling apart. I was nervous when I cut the last threads holding the original binding on and I'm sure I'll do better next time but even on a first attempt, I ended up with a book that doesn't feel like it's about to fall apart anymore.I expect it won't be the last time I have to repair a book binding for my girls and there's still lots of tape left so it's a good deal.

High quality book binding tape
This is a high quality tape which I feel should work great for its intended purpose. The tape appears to be of very good quality and the adhesive is very strong. The product gets bonus points for being made completely here in the USA. Since I did not purchase the tape for its intended use, my review may not be of much value. I am restoring a reed organ made in 1880 and needed a strong rubberized cloth (Vinyl-Coated) tape for the inner workings of the organ. I have to say that it is working perfectly for my use as well. I am particularly pleased that it is made using cotton cloth. I am sorry to say that I will not be around in 100 years to give you a final assessment on its viability.

Very strong and sticks just fine.
I have some vintage notes books from my husband’s grandfather, Bible, and collectible books. Had to bond outside because the covers were falling off. It worked wonderful easy to do. But the only problem was cutting with the scissors would stick to the tape and sometimes on itself. So would have to cut and start another piece.

Good for amateur book repair
I have a number of books that I refer to regularly but aren't valuable in money terms so I decided to patch them up myself. I've used this tape to to mend spines and hold cover boards and endpapers in place. It's strong and has powerful adhesive. Be careful- there's no room for repositioning the tape, it must be right the first time, once it sticks you won't shift it! A very sharp blade is needed for cutting and trimming the tape. The blade will need regular cleaning to get rid of the adhesive build up on the blade(I used white spirit for this). Watch your fingers!

Very sticky!
It is a good quality tape but the stickiness makes it difficult to work with. The bonus is, once it is down, it is going no where. I wasted half a roll before I managed to make it work for me,
