The only thing that worked for me
Most of us have some kind of personal issue, and you know your symptoms can be kind of idiomatic. Some people have seborrheic dandruff, some people just have eczema, some people respond to sunlight, some not, eyeglasses prescriptions are very specific, some people get bad cramps with their periods and some don't, and so on. That said, after trying all the conventional solutions for chafe, this is the one fix that actually finally worked for me. I don't want to recommend something that won't work for you, but understand that it's worth a try. Read on so we can compare cases.I get thigh and butt chafe ("monkey butt") from long periods of any kind of walking or running and it's worsened by moisture, whether that be sweat or rain or humidity or lotion. This has happened to me throughout my life, regardless of my weight at the time, even when I've been in very athletic shape. I have tried specially tailored underwear for chafe (so mid-thighs including ones without inseams), deodorant, baby powder, even treating the problem as a potential yeast infection with antifungals - which it apparently was not. The formula just seems to be thin skin + moisture of any kind + walking = chafe. The first day I got the balm, it was the middle of summer in Georgia, and I applied what seemed to be a pretty heavy coating (this turned out to be about 1/20 of the 1.5 oz stick, I'd say) generously around the effected areas. I then proceeded to run 5 miles outside and walk for another 5. In all I was outside for close to 2 hours, sweating in about 85 or 90 degree F weather. This would have definitely chafed me big time but I emerged unscathed.Over the following months I applied it whenever I planned on doing any kind of cardiovascular exercises or a lot of walking around outside, and it was virtually flawless in its protection. If I had to guess what was happening, I'd say it seems to keep the skin from interfacing with moisture so it doesn't prune up or soften and make itself vulnerable to friction. It's not that it's really a lubricant or anti-irritant or anything. Here are some details on it:- It goes on more invisibly than white deodorant, but it can leave some oils on fabric that wash out fine- It may be drier than you expect it to be- In my case, about 0.1 ounce was more than enough to protect me for the entire day of activity and I would imagine the average person would get at least 20 uses per 1.5 oz stick (so $0.50 for protection from a day of chafe by my reckoning)- It seems to work well between the outside temperatures of 35 F to about 100 F. I haven't tested it outside this range.- I could detect no scent from itEven if you haven't exhausted your other options yet, I would recommend giving it a try. I saw another review mentioning the stick being melted upon delivery, which I didn't have a problem with even in the Southern summer, and the stick seems to store just fine up to 85 degrees. If you're experiencing extraordinary heat outside like if you're trapped inside in Phoenix while it's 120 degrees outside, you may want to find a more secure delivery, but I think it'll be fine.Overall, the Body Glide stick has fulfilled its purpose brilliantly and I'm writing this as I order my next stick. Give it a try.

Lifesaver for sand volleyball & summer sweat
Been using this for playing sand volleyball and yeah... it’s kinda a game changer. I was getting sweaty (a lot) and started dealing with chafing in all the worst spots. Between the thighs, underarms, even under the waistband — brutal. This stick goes on smooth, not greasy, and just works. Seriously, I throw it in my bag now and never forget it. No more raw skin after long games in the heat. Don’t wait til it’s too late, just get it. Well worth the money for saving your skin.

This is your sign to buy…
Just finished the LA marathon. 26.2 miles and no chafe. Only had to apply real good once! No Vaseline needed. I applied in my inner thighs where I usually chafe the most. The nips and the shoulders. Amazing product. Was able to focus more on my run than on anything else.

Effective Product. Expensive...
I'm an avid runner, often doing long distances (5-10 miles) where chafing can be a real issue for me. This product works very well - spreads easy, last long, and in my case basically eliminates any chafing. Though the product is very effective, I believe it to be overpriced - essentially paying for the Body Glide brand name. I have similar products I use, such as Gold Bond's "Friction Defense", which is about 2x the amount (by weight) for ~1/4 the cost. Ingredients aren't listed, but they feel and work just about the same in my experience.Overall, I've found this to be a quality product that works very well, but, there are other options that work equally well for me for a fraction of the cost. Due to such a large cost difference (and no noticeable difference in effectiveness) compared to similar products, I probably wouldn't purchase again. Works great, just too expensive compared to alternatives for me to justify.

Works great
Does exactly what it’s supposed to do! Loved being able to wear shorts in the Miami heat and not worry about chaffing

For sports comfort
I purchased this for my son who plays on the varsity basketball team at his school. He was having a lot of trouble with nip chafing and bandaids covering really were not doing much to help. After reading many reviews of similar products I decided on this. His feedback is that it works really good. He has much less chafing causing skin irritation/rash/bleeding and says it is easier to apply than an alternative he was using before. He also likes that there isn’t any white residue that is left on him once the product dries (also something an alternative product did). The deodorant-stick style application makes it a breeze without getting product all over his hands. Overall, this is the best option we have found for use during sports.

Surprised something actually worked!
My only gripe is that the cap doesn’t stay on mine. But as far as use of product it’s been great! I’ve always had athletic thighs and running I always had chafing. Now im a bit older and a bit heavier there’s no way I’d ever get the chafe free bliss of a thigh gap summer. I’ve tried powders and the old school deodorant for a while. A few other brands of chafe balm and this one actually worked REALLY well! I went to a 4 hr wine event in 95 degree weather and don’t sit down once. The entire time was walking around and because it was outdoors and so hot, I decided to wear shorts. So testing this out on this event was kind of a big gamble to be honest. It worked fantastic! I did get a little irritation because I didn’t apply to all the area I needed it. But the second time I was at an outdoor concert in 90 degrees and once again wore shorts. This time I really extended the application area beyond what I thought I’d actually need. And after 6 hours walking around, dancing in the heat, everything is smooth and chafe free. It went on easily and there was no residue on my skin or clothing. The size of the product seems to be adequate to last quite a while. So really the only thing I didn’t love was the cap falls off so I can’t just toss it into my gym bag without making a mess. A little nitpicking and could be just my stick or something. But I totally recommend this so far.
