This plastic electrical box worked like a charm to install a security light in the exterior of our garage where there was no pre-existing box. The three "ears", once tightened, are holding the box firmly against the garage exterior sheathing.

Bought to mount a smoke detector. Worked well for intended purpose and good value for money. Sturdy enough, only thing preventing 4 stars is that one of the little latch thingys that is on the screws came off and then it became a project of its own to locate it in order to mount. What would have been a few minutes turned into something embarrassingly longer. Maybe include an extra one in package for idiots like me? :)

The ceiling box is of sturdy plastic and its locking mechanism worked beautifully in my application. The box was deep, leaving plenty of room for several wires. The wire locks are strong and a little hard to adjust, but a medium screwdriver worked nicely to move them as needed. I would purchase again.

Just as shown. But there was no template with the box. Would have been a bit easier if a template had been included. You will need to cut the circular hole and then file 3 indents in the circle for the 3 hold-downs to fit up thru the cutout.
