I have a g tube and have tried 3 other formulas and all upset my stomach due to the heavy oil contact. This is the ONLY formula that does not make me feel like yuck after a feeding session. I use water or bone broth to thin out formula a bit. Ordered Salmon as I hate seafood so this is a great way to get the salmon nutrients without actually tasting it !

I am really pleased with this product. It is soooo important for people who are feeding by tube to know that there are far healthier alternatives to use than what the modern medical establishment currently pumps into our loved ones as food. My mother recently had to start using a feeding tube while in the hospital, and let me tell you it was painful watching them continuously pump Jevity (some synthetic, over processed, over chemicalized food tube formula) into her system. I was so vulnerable, as I didn't know anything about tube feeding or what people should be eating while using a tube. While my mother was on Jevity I saw her pain continuously increase. She began to moan more than she had been before using it. I believe very much in nutrition and knew that the Jevity formula was not going to get my mother to thrive.I immediately began to do research about natural tube formulas and came across two -- Liquid Hope and Real Food Blends. Well Liquid Hope is quite a bit out of my price range, but Real Food Blends is not. Thank goodness for my mother's doctor, as he also believes strongly in nutrition and in taking a holistic approach to healing. He looked at the formula and gave his approval for using it. I'm so glad that he did. It feels really great knowing that there is a much better alternative to that Jevity crap. My mother's pain has subsided quite a bit. I add quite a few nutritional elements to this, but it just feels great knowing that I have a good base, a much better alternative to formulas such as Jevity.I have vacillated and forth as to whether or not I should give this 4 stars or 5. I was considering 4 stars because I have just started using the product and I wish they would create a no sodium formula (although the salt content isn't very high). But I decided to go for five stars because it is imperative for those who are on feeding tubes to know that hope abounds and that there are formulas out there that are natural and holistic. We must challenge the modern medical paradigm and demand that the medical system incorporate holistic nutrition into every aspect of health, including what is put into those tubes, whether intravenously or by feeding tube.My hope is that more companies will be established that will also create holistic, nutritional formulas for people on feeding tubes. It feels incredible knowing that I am giving my mother a formula that isn't loaded with sugar and garbage and whereby I can recognize the ingredients as healthy food.I am very thankful for this company and the few others like this (actually, I only know of two, but I hope there are more of them out there).My goal is for my mother to completely heal. I can't wait to update this review about her progress.

UPDATE: My previous review shown below was based on great disappointment in the company not permitting the option for return of an expensive and unusable product. However when I initially contacted Amazon regarding the defective box of feed, Amazon refunded my purchase. When I eventually posted my below product review; To my pleasant surprise, the Real Food Blend company reached out to offer me a full refund. Of course, I didn't accept the refund from Real Food Blend, because I had already received a full refund from Amazon.Real Food Blend regained my trust and view that they do care about the health and well-being of their customers, and placing people over profit. I have since begin ordering Real Food Blend products for my father again!! 😀***********************************I have purchased this product for several years for my father and have been pleased in the past. I purchased the chicken and the turkey packs during my recent order. The turkey is liquified and easy to pour from the packet, however, the chicken was very thick, clumpy, and difficult to remove from the packet. The expiration date was good, so possible it was stored in correctly. This is a costly item and it is not right that the company does not allow refunds or exchange for a defective product.

My son is on a blended diet that we make for him at home everyday. Traveling is an issue because you never know... The Real Food Blends have made things some much easier, he tolerates them exceptionally well and they are easy to use. Tear open a pouch, use a syringe to draw up and push in. We use the bolus extension as the blends can be thick, but it's easy to thin out with a little water. The biggest draw back is there is no easy way to close pouch if you don't use it all (we just place it into a ziplock bag) and the cost if insurance isn't paying. To us it's worth the cost. We also keep a box on hand encase of power outage and we are unable to use our blender and make the homemade blend.

This is a very great product. I have two gtube fed (pump) children ages 12 and 13. This has not only helped them nutritionally but digestively as well. All three bags of flavors work well and provide 8 oz/300 to 350 calories. The ground beef is thickest, next is chicken and the thinnest is the Salmon. I have to add liquid and blend both the chicken and the ground beef to get the pumps to pump continuously, but the salmon goes through without adding liquids. I love this option to my children's diet!! They both get three bags daily to supplement their diet which totals 30.00 daily! I figured out my healthy childrens daily spending and diet and it was comparable. I am so happy to have this option and by subscribing I always know I am stocked plus I save money!
