Vilros Raspberry Pi 4 Compatible Heavy Duty Aluminum Alloy Case with Preinstalled and Ready to Connect Fan (Black)

I’ve tried many cases for numerous Pis and this one is my absolute favorite. I love the metal build, and it keeps my Pis around 90 degrees F all the time. For the price, it’s 100% worth it.

This is the best Rpi4 case I've come across that isn't an Argon One.The product listing doesn't say this, but heatsinks are INCLUDED. I ended up buying them separately and having to return them because this information was omitted.

This is my second Raspberry Pi 4 and Vilros Aluminum fan-cooled case. I use the RPi 4 as a high resolution audio music streamer running Volumio, and I love the ease in assembling the RPi 4 into this case and making the fan connections. I use the 3.3VDC (Pin 1 on GPIO) and GND (Pin 9 on GPIO). This runs the fan quietly. It is so quiet that the only way to know the fan is running is to look down onto it. This is perfect for keeping the RPi 4 cool while listening to music on my high end audio system. As with my first Vilros RPi 4 kit, everything fits together nicely. The case comes with heat sinks for the CPU and RAM chip. The two other heat emitting chips are cooled by built in standoffs that make contact with them when the case is assembled properly—a very clever design.The RPi 4 is great for audio since this release separates the USB ports from the Ethernet port bus. I am able to run a high resolution 32-bit / 384kHz DSD256 USB DAC off the USB 2.0 port while connecting a 2TB LaCie Rugged Mini USB hard drive to one of the USB 3.0 ports. I’ve been able to listen to high quality, noise-free audio with this setup.

I really like this case. It is very sturdy forged aluminum and worth every penny. As it comes from the factory, the case cannot fit the "Professional, Isolated" version of the LoveRPI PoE HAT, but the case can be easily modified with an Emory wheel and/or hacksaw to trim some of the aluminum back a little bit. There are little flanges that hang out to pin the board down on the screw posts on one side. I trimmed those back about 5/32 of an inch with an Emory wheel. I also trimmed the posts that hang down inside to fit the HAT and another heatsink. You have to move the fan to the outside to allow the PoE HAT's coil and capacitor room to fit. It is easy to unscrew the fan and swap it to the outside of the case. Since you have to swap the fan to the outside anyway, you can also fit a taller heatsink.

I buy this case for every Pi 4 that I own. It's strong enough that a 200 pound person can stand on it with their heel and this doesn't phase it. The case itself being metal sucks up heat from the USB and Ethernet ports, acting as a natural heat sink in addition to the forced cooling provided by the active fan. The fan itself is average quality. Not good, not bad, and it's a standard and easily swapped size if you absolutely must have your own brand. The construction quality is consistent and well regulated (I own 4), all of them identical with no defects. Using the fan and provided heatsinks my Pi 4 runs at only 50 Celsius while running a full graphical desktop overclocked to 2.1 Ghz above the normal 1.5 Ghz base.

This case for the Raspberry Pi 4 is heavier than the plastic cases, but has good heat dissipation, and is very rugged. Complete with heat sinks and a tool for the case screws. Yes, I have several #0 Phillips bits in various lengths, but sometime nice to have a tool if on travel and remote from my tools. Just what I was looking for. Fan works great, and is quiet. Case is sturdy and helps protect and keep the RPi cool. It's the perfect size, you can fit the fan and the tall heat sinks the pi sometimes comes with without affecting operation. Only downside is having to unscrew it to access camera port or gpio, but otherwise it's perfect. If you are using the pi as a Linux desktop or other device where little access to gpio or camera is needed, this is what you want.

This is a solid choice for any user who is concerned about heat dissipation and build quality. All of the fittings for the various ports and access points have a perfect fit. The fan is quiet and provides ample cooling with its default behavior. If you choose there are several projects add some intelligence to the fan’s behavior (set the on state based on temperature instead of always on).This should be the go to case for users who are not using a HAT with their Pi 4.

el material de la carcasa es de aluminio grueso no es delgado ni esta totalmente plano/lisolas instrucciones para conectar el ventilador no estaban claras, busque una imagen de los pins en internet y lo pude conectar correctamente, bajo la temperatura de 52 grados con la carcasa original plastica a 35-37 grados con la carcasa de aluminio de vilrosel ventilador no hace ruido y tiene dos disipadores

Muy recomendado, llevo más de 5 meses usándolo y me ha salido muy bueno, llegó a tiempo y lo he usado para diversos proyectos.

Adquirí este producto para mi raspberry pi 4 y no me arrepiento de nada ya que viene con sus heatsinks , lo recomiendo altamente.
