I Do Hard Things: A Bible Study to Break of Fear and Pain Paperback – November 24, 2019

This book along with the Bible study were life changing! Knowing that there are very practical strategies that are based in biblical principles that truly work, can be life saving for people. There will always be pain in this human experience and as a grieving mother this book helped me to identify all the areas of pain in my life not just the death of my daughter and the strategies to climb out of the pits of pain were absolutely freeing and gave me the push I needed to begin to persevere and having this knowledge for future issues that are bound to come up will be invaluable. It’s not easy to live the life and the calling of God if we are trapped and held down by pain it’s not how God intended us to live. Thank you for your obedience to your calling Havilah because of yours I am able to look brightly at the path ahead with hope and purpose. Thank you SO much! I highly recommend this book to ANYONE who wants the freedom for an abundant life and real life strategies on how to start and use this in our daily living to continue to remain strong through any season we encounter. I bought one for myself and midway through the study I ordered another for a friend. I looked forward each morning to read the chapter. First 2 chapters lay a foundation and each chapter has a practical exercise. Extremely insightful and takes you deep to the root of the hard things we are facing. The process of walking out of the pit and choosing to trust God in the process, all the while differentiating thoughts and facts. This book makes you stare at your beliefs right in face and empowers you to chose the right ones. I LOVED IT. It will never go on a shelf. This one I’ll refer to over and over. “Authentic success is the accomplishment of living powerful through any circumstance “ And Joseph did it !! 2 nations were blessed and the history is as it is coz of his choice !! Havilah what a gift this book is!! Thank you for doing hard things and bringing the gold out of it. We are blessed because of it ❤️

“I do hard things”,by Havilah Cunnington, Has been a Godsend to me. I always say,”you don’t pick out your books they pick you out.” My mother committed suicide when I was just the tender age of five. I have lived a journey of suddenly’s and the unthinkable’s similar to that of Joseph. The heavenly timing of “I do hard things” bible study is uncanny. Havilah’s clear heart felt message, coupled with exercises to uncover deep rooted pain, is just what I needed to continue the journey that God has for me. I am currently working on a memoir, beside God’s living word,“I do hard things” has been the perfect companion. Havilah’s words are God breathed, it feels as though she is sitting right there with you. Her book has equipped me with a determined courage,making me relentless in continuing to go after my healing. It has encouraged me to run with tenacity,claiming the freedom of fear that God has for me , also, believing Havilah’s words,“there is a purpose in your pain.”

While ordering Havilah's upcoming Bible study for 2022 I noticed right away the cover of the book that changed my life. It was the first Bible study I did by Havilah. In fact it was my first ever Bible study! I never did a Bible study before because I never needed God the way I did at that moment. While sitting in a pool of pity, God brought Havilah to me through a random email blast. Every thought and emotion I was having during my moment of ugly cry was described in that email 10 minutes after I dried my face from tears. I knew at that moment that email was not a coincidence. Today I believe with out a doubt it was all God's doing! Havilah has become one of my greatest mentors. Through this study - I Do Hard Things Havilah helped me realize my pain had more purpose then I ever imagined. Through Havilah's studies I have learned to reject my shame and to love myself the way God does. I try everyday to give myself grace and to stay true to the boundaries that protect my peace. I am so excited for this years study- Discovering and Activating My Spiritual Gifts. I have a feeling its going to be a game changer!

What a great book! Havilah gives great techniques based on scripture on how to navigate through the hard things in life. I struggled with postpartum depression over twenty years ago and felt like I had put that behind me. But when I recently started to have some of those old feelings creep up on me again I got fearful. Reading through this book gave me a new way to conquer those fears and deal with them. Havilah’s communication style makes getting through this short study a breeze and allows the important points easy to remember. I know this is a little book I will keep nearby to refer to in times of need. I highly recommend this book!

Excellent! Short, sweet, powerful, practical!

This book is so well thought out and executed. I love how it is designed to do as a daily devotional. The exercises in the book are practical and so helpful. You go from identifying pain to giving it a place and purpose so you can move forward without shame. The videos that go with it are a nice way to hear from the authors heart. You feel like you’re having a cup of coffee with her! Havilah does a great job of making you feel normal and accepted, and she helps you realize everyone is broken and we are in this together!

Havilah Cunnington is a gifted teacher, writer and author! I Do Hard Things, has brought so much healing to my life and given me tools to live Which I can Live my life by. She teaches from her own personal journey of walking through hard things and the lessons God taught her. She is a woman of true authenticity who doesn’t just teach but is living proof of the those teachings in how she lives her life! I highly recommend this book for anyone who is tired of being stuck in their life and wants to move forward!
