Stonewall Kitchen Salsa Verde, 16 Ounces

I've been looking for a great tasting green chili or Salsa Verde that I can buy pre-made in a can or jar. Even here in Texas finding something good outside of a restaurant or home kitchen seems to be impossible. Have you ever been to a county fair where they are roasting peppers over an open fire? That fantastic smell is the taste I am looking for. Although the Stonewall Salsa Verde doesn't really have a flavor to match the roasted pepper smell, it does seem to be the best of the Verde choices on Amazon. I've tried several with high customer ratings and most just didn't taste that great to me. One was even quite watery. But the Stonewall Kitchen Salsa Verde has a nice consistency and very pleasant flavor with a little kick. I really like it. My wife, who is very picky about such sauces, even commented that it had a very good flavor. It goes especially well on burritos, and other Mexican dishes, obviously. Unfortunately it is expensive to order online and probably should be saved for special south of the border dishes. But, I'll be ordering it again unless I run across a Verde somewhere that tastes even better which will be a tall order.

It’s honestly the only salsa I like and they don’t sell it in stores near me unfortunately! So I buy it here every two weeks. Wish they had subscribe and save for this. It’s not too spicy and not too mild. Very yummy with Late July lime chips!

Not described as spicy which it is compared to others. Try smaller bits if you're not really used to spicy stuff. However, much tastier than some brands we've bought in Arizona!?!?! And, less runny liquid to drip out of your taco or whatever.

This is the absolutely best green salsa out in the marketplace. This is made with tomatillos which is the real thing that green salsa is to be made from, not predominately other peppers (e.g., green peppers). This is an outstanding product. Besides adding this on top of tacos and mexican-type salads (e.g., making your own salads at home with fajaita-type seasoning on sauteed steak, quacamole, sour cream, etc.), this is great on scrambled eggs with cheese or inside of a cheese omelet.

This is one of the best salsas I've ever had. The balance of the heat from the jalapenos and the depth of flavor from the raspberries and tomatoes is spot on. Bravo!

Our local supermarkets carry good green salsas, but this is the only one my husband really likes, Very worth it to order from Amazon.
