Narrow for a more complete stir!
Perfect sized beaker for distillation on a magnetic stirrer (the width of the magnet is always adequate in this vessel).

Not Just for the Lab Anymore..........
I bought this for my bar area, lol. I am used to the metric system as I worked in the Medical Field, specifically Pharmacy for many years prior to retirement and find it easier mixing drinks using ml's Vs oz's so I use scientific ware and it is very precise, handles extreme temperatures, the occasional drops in the sink and looks pretty damn cool on the bar, especially when whipping up a batch of Martini's or Moscow Mules. So as far as precision, sturdiness, clarity and holding up under daily use I can recommend this beaker. Remember, 30ml equals 1 fluid oz so measuring shots is not that difficult even for someone not familiar with the metric system......

Good value but use with care
These are 1/3 the price of other tall-form beakers this size and they are perfectly serviceable with reasonably accurate markings and ok finish quality. However they are very lightweight and feel fragile. 2 were damaged in shipping in my first order, even though they were well packed and showed no signs impact on the box.If you are the careful type and need a bunch of 1L beakers it's probably a good buy for you.

not flat bottom, measuring loosey-goosey
looks like good borosilicate -- holds boiling water poured directly into it. Measuring scales are accurate enough for kitchen measure (maybe not pastry chef) in 100, 250, two of three beakers I received. The 50ml one, scale is way off (take it to the bar and convince your bartender that it's accurate, you'll do OK). Not flat, slight rocker bottom on 50ml one. It ain't expensive, but it ain't great and the double scales, increasing and decreasing, are unfamiliar to me, and would, without doubt, be confusing to an unpracticed chemist, such as a child, and me, too: I won't trust myself to measure my kitchen goods in the ones that are accurate. Note: I've read that borosilicate is better for heat, but much more likely to shatter on impact than soda lime glass (current version of pyrex). If that's so, don't buy this for general kitchen use, and keep safe from children.

Useful and cool
This is a nice beaker. The tall form is easier to handle with one hand. Trying to give up as much plastic as possible so this measures all my liquids now. Good packaging - arrived in perfect condition.
