Is there any other oil paints equal to bob ross

Here’s my opinion. As far as I know, Bob Ross designed and formulated his paints to be an exact consistency and color. This helps for painting in his wet on wet style. Most of the colors are much more firm than other brands and they are indeed ideal for painting in this style. They are paints of a good quality, but they do not contain any high end pigments like cadmium and there aren’t many single pigment colors in the line, besides Alizarin Crimson, because it’s cheaper to mix pigments to creat a “hue”… Regarding the Kowalski’s, (the proprietors of the Bob Ross brand) I agree that they did Bob very dirty and I don’t have respect for them or their brand unfortunately due to the way that his family was treated after his death. It’s very unfortunate because we all love Bob Ross so much. That being said, I enjoy the products which I purchased years ago and they work very well. And you know you’re using exactly what you need to mimic what he teaches… I do not think that the Kowalski’s actually changed the formulation to the product as another commenter stated. I believe they are the same paints that Bob Ross created. it just depends if you want to do business with some filthy people, or work around it with other brands. Winton is a good and inexpensive alternative, they work well for the style but I’d say Bob Ross paints are of better quality.
