Wish I had this YEARS ago!
Great addition to my “utensil drawer”. Previously had a corer/slicer utensil. We didn’t get along. This is perfect for removing the core and slicing wedges to the desired size or stuffing for baked apples. Made well, very sturdy, easy to use and clean. Be sure to use it with apple on cutting board, a towel, etc., to keep from sliding and protect surface. Really like it and would recommend.

Seems sturdy enough.
It works better than advertised. You see the video where they seem to have a bit of trouble getting the core out of it. Well, I have far less trouble ejecting the core than they do.And they are right... just a little twist makes coring even hard apples a very easy job. I think the hardest part is guessing exactly where the center of the core is, and lining the tool up along that line.Cleanup is a breeze, either by hand or in a dishwasher. I'd recommend the top instead of the bottom rack. It doesn't need such power to clean it.I've cored three different types of apple with it, and it seems to work well with both soft and hard apples. This is a rare 10/10 would recommend - especially at this price.

There are corers, and then there are corers!
Hands down the best corer on the market! There are corers, and then there are corers! This is the only corer on the market that is heavy duty (won't bend when using) and a breeze to use with its serrated stainless steel blades, heavy duty ergonomic handle and especially with the blade's opening mechanism for real easy core plug removal (not like others that do not open). The price point makes this corer a must for the kitchen and fruit preserving come canning season!

Wonderful product.
I needed a tool to core my apple so I could microwave my apple. This tool works great & very easy to use.

Less than 5 seconds and you have a perfect apple missing the core onlu
Works FAR better than expected! I love to make dehydrated apple chips and using a knife to remove the core is difficult, ends up wasting a lot of the apple and is even dangerous. I gashed my hand when the knife went faster than expected this last batch. That is what made me seek an alternative solution. Now I can very easily remove the core of an apple in less than 5 seconds and it removes only the core. There is virtually no waste! The item is noticeably built to last, also. Very sturdy feeling. If you even occasionally eat apples, you'll love this thing!

Far superior to traditional apple corers
For a variety of reasons, including improved digestion, I needed to get more apples into my diet. It's easier on my teeth to cut them up, but kind of a pain to cut them up with a knife. I can be rather klutzy at times, and the traditional two-handed apple corers always made me nervous. They require so much downward pressure and come down fast with a lot of force, all while I don't have a hand free to secure the apple. So I'm always concerned that when it comes down, the apple is going to roll under the pressure and I'm going to somehow end up with a finger under there, or my cutting surface is going to slip out and go crashing to the floor, or both. And then there's the whole business of getting apple fragments out of all those crevices. It's sufficiently worrisome and annoying that I soon just gave up and said I'd much rather take my chances with the paring knife (where the main concern is cutting out the core without cutting myself). So many times, I wanted an apple and knew I should eat one, but didn't feel up to the whole annoying and scary rigamarole.I ran across this baby and had to give it a try. Wow!! Super easy, feels very safe, and no annoying cleanup process. Secure the apple with one hand (I find stem down works best), put the corer on top, rotate with very light pressure to break the apple skin, and push down easy. Then rotate and pull it out, squeeze the handle to flip the core into the bin (might need a finger to help it out), rinse, and you're ready for next time. Then two quick, safe, easy slices with the paring knife and it's good to go. No safety concerns or messes because you never let go of the apple. No blade crevices to trap food and germs. After a few times, you can do the whole process in less than 5 seconds. Seriously... 2 to core the apple, 2 or 3 to rinse. I'm truly amazed and I'm eating way more apples now! I got the green one, and the color is vibrant and beautiful. It takes up a lot less space in the drawer than a traditional corer, and you're also much less likely to cut yourself while reaching for something else. Win win win. Couldn't be happier with this purchase!

Definitely worth the money and so easy to use
Wish I would have purchased this years ago. Nice sharp blades cut right through the apple and the ergonomic handle makes it even easier. The added feature of being able to pop out the cores with just a simple push of a button is amazing. Definitely worth every penny I spent on this.
