Change isn't always good.
I do not like the new type. It's real hard to get them to loosen up. I've been using UPs-B41s since 1988 as my number 1 go to wire strippers. For making up You can strip 3-4 wires at a time and get a good twist on the conductors so your not relying on the wire nut to hold them together. I miss the old style with the adjusting nut.

Good,compact, easy to use cable cutters
Cuts copper wire with ease. I've been able to cut a bunch of data cables and 4 awg single wire thhn with no problem. I steer clear from cutting steel MC casing.
