Shop Hornady Modified Cases for OAL Gauge 6.5 Creedmoor 6.5. Free delivery and returns on all eligible orders. Review: Great for assisting in finding your jam!! Next tension was a little loose but it doesn’t matter. Just remember to use a non metallic rod to push your bullet out of it gets stuck in the lands. Great tool. Ended up drilling and tapping a few cases myself but they all work the same and this is a great buy. Makes for accurate loading and figuring out if your rig likes jump or not. Review: This modified case easily connects to the Hornady overall length gauge and gives me the measurements I need to adjust my bullet seating depth to give me the most beneficial bullet to lands distance. While the groups I was getting were more than adequate enough to get the job done with factory made box ammo, I want to build a reload that is even more accurate. A round that works perfectly for my rifles chamber dimensions. Sure a two inch group is nice at distance, but isn't a one inch group better? Right? With this modified case, a set of dial calipers, a load comparator set body and insert, an overal lenght gauge, and a headspace gauge kit you can measure exactly the chamber of your rifle. Having those measurements allows you to build the perfect round that will work best in that rifle, for that type of bullet. If you switch bullet types and weights, you need to go through this process again to adjust that new type of bullet to your chamber. It sounds like a lot of work? The first time it may take you 10-15 minutes. But once you get the simple technique down and understand each of the steps, it becomes much quicker. I can get all the measurements in under 2 minutes, and that is working at a very leasurely pace and writing down the measurements as I work. It is very simple and the results are you can create a much more accurate round.
