Corona AG 4940SS Long Curved Snip, Stainless Steel

Best snips on the market.
The best company for snips, hands down. My grandfather has an old rusted pair of Corona snips that put everyone’s Fiskers and other knockoff brands to shame. I decided to buy my own. Sure these aren’t build like they were in the 70’s… sadly no tool is anymore. But these blow all the other brands out of the water.

disappointing from a well known maufacturer
This is basically a cheap poorly design from a company that has a history of quality. The fastening device is a synthetic loop that will be in the way and at some point will break with no means of replacement. The blades are riveted and provide no means of adjustment. Very disappointing from this company.

Corona Curved Tip Clipper A Winner
As a berry farmer, over the years I've owned a number of small to medium clippers and have always gravitated toward the quality of Corona's stainless steel line. The Corona AG 4940SS (stainless steel with curved tip) is an absolute winner for serious gardeners and small fruit production workers. This product is apparently made in Taiwan.Primary uses--pruning grape vines; blueberry, raspberry, and rose bushes; and a variety of flowers and garden plants. A great all-around unit for nursery and garden applications.Pros--Solid stainless steel construction. Molded hand grips. Good quality spring. The 3.5" handles are a good fit for most small to medium-sized hands. The tips on the curved unit are more tapered than those on the straight-tip version. The 2" blades hold a good edge and give you a working cut surface of just over 1.5". While it's not a replacement for bypass-clipper situations, the tool is not intimidated by small soft wood branches.Cons--Closure device is a black strap attached to the bottom of the unit. It can get in the way and you are likely to eventually replace it with a hefty rubber band. Corona markets a "holster" for these units but mine usually wind up in my hip pocket (so I do like the blades to stay closed lest something unintened gets clipped). If You Buy--Three hints. First, its unlikely you'll find them at most big box or discount stores. Second, if you are buying online, try to buy two or more items to soften the impact of shipping costs. Third, consider buying the sharpening device Corona makes (puts on a sharp edge and can even be used for other small blades like box cutters).I'd advise keeping it lubricated with a non-toxic lubricant like silicon-free Slipit if you are working around vegetables and fruits.Corona's AG 4940 and it's straight blade companion AG 4930 are versatile units with a highly respectable service life.

Nice curve and all metal.
I like these because they are curved and cut in very small areas of plants such as okora and Roselle calyx. They are alletal so I don't worry about them breaking down like the plastic ones.

This is nice!
I bought this as it was recommended to me by a farmer. It's lightweight, not bulky with unnecessary bells and whistles. It makes trimming and cutting so easy and enjoyable! It does the job and it does it well.

Great clippers for goat hooves
I have been rescuing goats for almost 10 years now and have tried various clippers for their hooves. These clippers are the best I’ve tried. They are strong and sharp for the > 200# goats as well as small and contoured for the Pygmy goats. They stay sharp for a long time - I have a few pairs that I’ve been using for 5+ years.

Easy Grip Garden Snips
These garden snips are exactly what I have been looking for. They are light weight so convenient to carry around the yard making them always available. They also have a bright red grip on the handle making them harder to loose. They came with a nice sharp blade that I am hoping will last a good long time.

pretty good tool
size is good, sort of medium small -- larger than the Fiskars nippers. blades sharp, curved. Blades joined w a rivet instead of nut/bolt so you couldn't take it apart (not as good as a Felco tool).
