PrierC-108X10 10-Inch Hot and Cold Mixing Hydrant with 1/2-Inch Pex

The only location for installation in my garage was next to steps. It's a tight location so I opted to mount the faucet vertically. There was no access to the sill plate inside the house due to location of furnace HVAC ductwork at outside wall. Drilled holes for piping in garage and attached 1/2 inch PEX piping to faucet. The existing house plumbing is 3/4 inch copper. Installed copper tees and brass PEX 1/4 turn shutoff valves and connected PEX piping to garage faucet. If your using PEX piping just make sure you have enough room to use the crimping tool freely if the space is tight. The faucet is well made and should provide years of service.Works great and it's nice to have hot water in the garage.

Updated: it lasted well through almost a year with no issues. No one contacted me; poor customer service in this regards.It arrived quickly and was pretty happy with it until I realized I need to replace the anti-siphon valve/vacuum breaker. The box was I damaged and it was packaged well enough. The Install went easy enough. However, in my eagerness to get going with it I really didn’t inspect it well. I realized it had a damaged part after I hooked the hose up to eagerly test it out; water shot out of the vacuum breaker all over the place. I realized it was damaged - see photo - guts of the breaker we not there and the set bolt was missing it’s head. I managed to get it off and replaced with one from Ace Hardware for <$10. Based on this it’s a three star for now and will be increasing review of the product if it lasts well through the winter and…. Someone reaches out to me about a price adjustment.

I had bought PRIER PRODUCTS C-108D04I live in DFW. We installed this in 2020. We had hard freeze in February in 2021and 2022.This time, water flooded from the wall..Probably it will fail for all, 6,8, and 10 inches because the hole was 2 inches inside the wall. The wall was well insulated. Still insulate from outside..

Great for filling up grandkids pool, and making warm water balloons. I also use to clean ice chest,and other things. I wash the cars in the winter, with warm water, and makes rolling up the hose, in 30 degree , much easier.
