No mice in the house
We paid an exterminator for several years to put these in blocks around our house, and they worked great. But then we got smart and decided to do it ourselves. They do in fact work great. The mice are eating them, and there are no squeaks in the house. I would recommend using these.

Handy bait stations
These things are nice! My target pests are small to medium sized rodents and they should have no problem getting into these. Each station holds 1/2 lb or so of whatever bait blocks you feel like putting in them.As other reviews have pointed out, these are slightly difficult to open. As such, I do not recommend these for anyone with compromised hand movement. You get 6 bait stations with two locking points each, but only ONE key. I only broke one locking tab when setting up my stations. While they were open, I also trimmed away a little of the plastic from all of the locking tabs so the stations can be popped open without a key. Please understand that not all bait blocks are created equally, so get the right bait for your circumstance. Pests will have to eat more of a first generation poison over a longer period of time compared to the more potent second generation poisons. Some bait blocks hold up better in humid conditions, but others are only suited for indoor use. No bait blocks are immune to snail and insect attack so you may need countermeasures.

GREAT SECURE RODENT STATIONS
These boxes are sturdy and a key comes with each set so you can lock them and protect children and pets. The posts inside the boxes each hold a block of bait so that it doesn't rattle around and fall out. These are definitely worth every penny and the company is willing to help you with any request.

Rats-bye bye
I got these rat bait boxes for the bar. I had a serious rat issue. I also got the bait blocks. It took a month or so for the rats to nibble enough to kill them but it definitely worked! I see no sign of rats anymore!

They hold bait
They are ok, they hold bait. I hate the "key" you have shove down and push open, it digs into my hand after opening 2 or 3 and it's difficult to use. They seem pretty durable. You get 6 stations and only 1 key, they should give you at least 2 in case you lose one. They are good enough that I didn't return them

Cat and dog friendly!
You can fill these up and not worry if the cats or dogs can get to the bait. The bait is threaded on a wire rod so the rats can not carry it out of the bait box. Be careful when you clean the box out. If you turn the box upside down to shake out anything left in the box, be sure to take the rods out first or you will be digging for them in the dumpster. Place the box so the holes are in the rats normal path. You have to use an included key to open the box - which is good - because your companion animals can't open them.

HARD TO OPEN (requires a "key")
I like to keep a box with holes cut out at the base on two sides with snap traps inside in the yard along the fence year-round to catch rats. Rain ruins the boxes. Vector Control suggested these Protecta Sidekick plastic boxes FOR SNAP TRAPS ONLY, NOT RODENTICIDE which can cause a second kill. The package arrived with 6 bait boxes and one key. I could not open the box using the key. My husband struggled to open the box. I was going to return them but this company was going to make me pay the return shipping and charge me a 15% re-stocking fee. I showed them to my Clark Pest Control guy and he offered to put traps in them for me. He will open the box to remove dead rodents and reset the traps. I prefer to be a do-it-yourself pest control homeowner rather than relying on someone else. I will give this product 3 stars because if you want a box that is somewhat childproof, then maybe it will work for you.A friend suggested the JT Easton Snap Trap Station which opens easily and has a clear plastic window on the top to view inside the box. (photo attached) There is no lock and designed only for snap traps, not rodenticides. My order should arrive tomorrow.
