Great non-blue color for those that want to see at night, rather than impress their insect friends that see into the ultraviolet spectrum. Many local parts stores charge $100+ each, and they aren't close to OEM quality like these.

I can't believe how difficult it has become to replace a bulb. That being said, research your vehicle for installation help.My vehicle had an access panel in the wheel well. Most important is not to get finger oils or and other dirt or grease on the glass. That will cause the bulb to overheat and become unusable in a short time. This was a great price compared to local parts stores, and it came carefully packed. My recommendation is to order it separately, so it does not get damaged in transit with other items.

I took off one star because the item I purchased did not come in a box as described in the product listing.The box on the left in both pictures show what I received with this order. The box on the right in both pictures is what I received in a previous order. The white box foes not have a hologram on the bottom next to the QR code that is used to validate that the bulb I received is not a counterfeit bulb. When I follow the instruction on the QR code, it says to take a picture of the box and submit it to the Phillips website for verification. When I submitted the picture of the box, the website auto replies saying that the box "Appears" to be "Authentic" On the yellow box with the Hologram, when I submitted the codes, I get a reply that the box "Is Authentic".Other than that, the bulb fit into the headlight housing of my 2008 Mazda MX-5 GT as a direct replacement for the original bulb. The physical appearance of the bulb, the Kelvin rating and brightness of the bulb, met all the OEM requirements of the original bulb that burnet out, without costing $251.00 each, which is what the Mazda dealer would have charged for their OEM bulb, plus over $200.00 in labor to install the bulbs, that's well over $700 to replace two low beam light bulbs (I had to remove the front bumper to get to the headlight housing).Note: I want to add a notation to this review: I made two purchases of this item. The 1st purchase was received in a box as listed and had a Hologram next to the QR Code so I could validate that the bulb received was not a counterfeit bulb. For some reason, Amazon would not let me review both purchases separately. Maybe because the were listed as the same item. I want to give the 1st bulb a 5 Star rating because it was received in a box as described in the listing and the 2nd bulb a 4 Star rating because it came in a different box than that shown in the listing and could not be 100% verified as not being a counterfeit bulb. But both bulbs do work as well as the OEM bulbs that they replaced.

Fits perfect and works great on my 2009 BMW 328i (E90). I just wish BMW didn’t make it such an extreme pain is the a$$ to access the headlight housing and install it (i.e. remove the front wheel and liner).

This review is for Philips D2R Standard Authentic Xenon HID Headlight Bulb, 1 Pack. I had bougthen this bulb back in 2020 when the driver side headlight on my Infiniti G35 started flickering and finally went out a few months later. I wanted an authentic HID bulb for my car so I chose this Philips D2R C1 bulb because it has a Certificate of Authentication (CoA) affixed to the bottom of the box that I could verify on their website. Mine was authentic so that was a relief. I wasn’t sure if the new light would match my other light because it was “85126” and not “85126+” like the old bulb but I went ahead and installed it anyway. Replacing the headlight on the Infiniti G35 isn’t as difficult as many YouTubers make it out to be. There are even videos with people saying to take out the tyres!? Some say removing the tyres is not necessary but then they turn the tyres inwards, which is actually counterintuitive to me. I turned my tyres outward as far as it would go and it was wide open for me to reach in and do what I had to do. It took about 30 minutes to get the job done. The trick is to remember how everything fits in originally and use markers or photos to notate, if necessary. Another trick is to put the new bulb directly into the housing, lock it in place, and then attach the power connector. I had a difficult time when I attached the new bulb to the power connector first and then tried to lock them into position afterwards. Don’t do that! Just stick the new bulb into the slot, lock it in place with the clamp and then connect the power. Much easier doing it this way! Also, wear gloves to prevent touching the bulb. When I was done, the new light matched perfectly to the original passenger side headlight so I was really happy with it. Overall, perfect OEM headlight. It’s made in Germany and not China. I would recommend buying directly from Amazon and not a third party seller to ensure that you get an authentic Philips headlight. My original headlight lasted almost 10 years so I'm hoping that this one will last as long. I’d give it a 5.0/5.0 - 08/07/2023.
