There are 24 different colors in the box. You have the typical primary and secondary colors along with blue green, blue violet, red orange, red violet, yellow green and yellow blue. There also is black, gray, white, brown, pink, turquoise and several other colors. It is a really good selection of colors.

Q: Has anybody used this on a painted chalkboard wall & how well did it work?

This does NOT work on chalkboards, it’s for drawing & sketching on paper.

Q: would this be appropriate for drawing on cement like sidewalks ?

If you want bright yes but they are small. I haven’t found large sidewalk chalk with vivid colors like these
