I’ve been using SSS for 50 + years , I use it on my pets for fleas , flies, mosquitoes n I use it myself for the same, it’s safe n smells awesome, the only downside is the price, it has tripled in price , n that hurts me considerably! But, it is safe for my pet pig, n cat n friends dog, n I guess I’ll hope the price drops down along with everything else thanks Kimi

I love Skin so Soft body oil! Timeless product! I love the smell and how soft and moist it keeps my skin! My only suggestion is that they put a squeeze cap on it to avoid waste and to make it easier for application!

I've been applying Avon's Skin So Soft (SSS) all over my body, since I was a teenager. I absolutely love the aroma and how silky smooth and shiny my skin feels after applying SSS right after my shower. The trick is to fill a pump/ spray bottle with SSS. It's much easier to control the spray, then pouring it in your hand with the possibility of spilling it. I added quite a few drops of lavender oil to mine, you can add any scent that suits your fancy too😉I highly recommend shaking the bottle well, if you added a scented oil, and spraying the SSS over your whole body as soon as you get out of the shower! Bipass using a towel to dry off, the SSS goes on and rubs/ soaks-in so much better when your skin is still moist. Always stand on a mat, when applying, and do not spray the bottom of your feet, it's slippery and you can fall.You'll notice after a short while how much better your skin will feel and hydrated it is, without all the greasiness, compared to what you're used to.Lastly, this SSS oil, like their other lotions, will deter pesky bugs or insects from torturing you.

I had a hard time finding an Avon dealer in my area so got this product on Amazon. I did price check and it was pretty much what you would pay on Avon. Maybe a few dollars more but not much more. I mainly bought it to Keep the mosquitoes off me and it really works but I also found it to be a really nice for my dry skin. It’s not oily. It’s a dry oil if that makes sense. I put it in a spray bottle, squirt a little, rub it in and it dries into my skin. My skin is smooth, the smell is quite nice and I am not getting bit by mosquitoes. Sounds like a winner all around to me. 😁

I bought this product specifically to keep the mosquitos away. I moved to the desert where they are small, fast & sneaky and will leave a giant welt once they get you! I recall hearing that this helped. I used it last night on my body and I liberally sprayed my sheets (I put this in a bottle specifically designed for essential oils) and it was the first night I awoke without being bitten and scratching until dawn. HOWEVER...the scent is AWFUL! If you like baby powder, you'll like the scent. Personally, I despise it! But if it works, I'm willing to suffer the scent over the bites!The oil is nice and gives your skin a nice 'glow'. I apply it after my evening shower, in the morning upon waking, again midday and again before my pups and I head outdoors for our evening playtime (yes, I'm paranoid about being bitten!). Then of course, after the shower. I WISH it had a nicer smell. No offense to the little 'ol ladies out there because one day I hope to be one....but I feel like I smell like a little 'ol lady and I'm too young for that! At the same token, I also smell like a baby being diapered! LOL!I also bought the Avon Bug Repellant SPF as well as the Anti-Itch. If I haven't yet attacked the bite with scratching, the anti-itch seems to work. But if it's been scratched, I tend to go for straight Tea Tree Oil and ice packs. I hate mosquitos!!!!!!The scent makes me want to give it 0-stars...but to be fair, I'm giving it 4 since it seems to keep my skin 'so soft' and the mosquitos away :)I have to laugh that someone didn't find this review helpful. I mentioned it kept the mosquitos away and that it did make my skin soft but I found the scent repelling. What information are you looking for that I may have missed?!

The anti mosquito properties are already well known for Skin So Soft. I spent four months in the Caribbean and I hated using any bug repellant, chemical or natural, because they either irritate after too much use or coat the skin and make you really hot because you can't sweat. I certainly didn't wear the Skin So Soft during the day. But we slept under mosquito nets. And it would cool down some at night, or at least we were less active so our bodies remained a bit cooler. Someone had sent some bottles of Skin So Soft with me and one of the rituals I really enjoyed was after my evening shower, I would rub my body down with it. It's too hot to use moisturizer during the day in a tropical climate. But for the night it was a nice feeling after a shower. And it gave protection from the mosquitos between the time I took my shower and when I got under my bed net. I can't say it's my favorite scent but I don't mind it and it doesn't aggravate my allergies. Now I'm headed to tropical Asian countries for a while, and so I am packing along some bottles of Skin So Soft.

I love this oil, and now I'm advertising it to my friends and family. Mixed with virgin-coconut oil(half-half), it's a great replacement for body lotion, makes the skin so soft and smell so nice. I don't buy lotion any more. It is also great insect/mosquito repellent, I introduced it to one of my friends because I heard her complaining about the mosquitoes and how the insect repellents only work for a short time and she has to reapply and it's not really good for her sinus problem. She reported back after a week and tells that this oil is amazing, so now she uses it all the time. We live on an island where the mosquitoes and other insects are part of the everyday life, this oil solved that problem for me and my family. Thank you so much. I hope this item is never discontinued.
