I think the reviews which describe this book as "worksheets" are misrepresenting the book. The tasks as quick but deep challenges that will prompt pupils to think carefully, rather than any set of worksheets which ask them to copy a routine/example given by the teacher. The questions promote higher level thinking that is essential if our pupils are to have a chance of seeing what maths is about. Sure they need to pass tests, but if they pass them by manipulating symbols on the page without even an idea of what they are really doing, then we have failed them.

These are great, quick puzzles to enhance critical thinking. I especially like that there is a table in the beginning that correlates standards to specific puzzles, so I just have to look at that to find ones that match the work we are doing in class.

I thought the book was too complicated and did not understand it. Do not like it. I should had returned it.

This book is filled with worksheets that should be a fine addition to any math teacher's collection. There is little else to offer, so if you already have plenty of other worksheet sources handy, or if you prefer to craft your own, then the price of this book may well be prohibitive.

There are sites on line that offer free work sheets that are as good if not better than those in this book. Save your money
