Purchased for spreading road salt and grass seed, I have just tested this with 10 kg worth of salt. I'm impressed with the spread and rate manual adjustment controls, and coverage is actually really good indeed. I found on footpaths to slow the spinner right down and to narrow the spread of the salt; even then I found it useful to give bursts on the trigger. For larger/wider areas, whacking the speed up all the way and widening the spread angle provided excellent coverage up and down our street. What is probably equally important is that the distribution is even and you get good distrubtion and spread for the quantity of salt. No more lugging a bucket full of salt and a shovel to spread it! The Einhell spreader gets the job done in a fraction of the time. Just remember to clean the spreader after using salt.

Works well, lots of adjustments available for different spreadable products, so much easier and more precise than hand spreading. Recommended if, like me, you already have Einhell tools you can share a battery with.

If like me you apply granular fertilisers and mosskillers to your lawn then this Einhell device is a game-changer.Previously I've struggled with manual spreader carts because:# difficult to control the flow of granules and at the end of a row or on a corner they might dump a load of material which will kill off the grass for the rest of the season# they drop no granules on the ground that the spreader wheels roll over# hard to reach nooks and crannies of the lawn# prone to clog up.With this battery powered Einhell machine you can easily control the amount of granules that you spray onto the grass. There's a degree of trial and error in deciding how quickly and how widely you want the granules to be sprayed so best to start with a test on a few square meters of lawn. Once I got the hang of it I was able to spread about 15kg of feeder granules over 800 sq m of lawn in less than half an hour.Please note that the spreader and the rechargeable battery that powers it are sold separately so you're ordering not one but two products from Amazon.FOOTNOTE After two years I've had to replace this machine because it became irretrievably clogged up. The lesson is, clean thoroughly after each use and store in a dry place so that any residual lawn feed doesn't solidify in the workings.

I bought this because I already have several einell products and can use the same battery and charger Very easy to use. Ideal for applying feed weed and moss killer. Just fill it up, adjust the rate of application and press the trigger

Excellent product and worth every penny. Excellent build quality, configurable settings for speed of distribution, distribution spread, and quantity. Worked perfectly for grass seed . No jamming, no excess dumping of seed. Can't recommend it enough

Have used a push along drop spreader and a manual version of this spreader and have always had scorched areas on the lawn. This spreader gives a consistent and even spread and no scorning or overdosing of lawn feed. Very good for the medium/larger lawn.

Bought for spreading grass seed. In the end I used a garden sieve. Ok-ish but found it doesn't spread seed well, and better for larger particles, like granular fertiliser. Also, slowest speed is still quite fast, and empties hopper in seconds. Three stars because still better than using hands. There are probably better options out there.
