Closest to the Coleman's w 'bags 'u can get w a wick!
I use lanterns ALOT ! from vintage Lomax to pottery ones I make & was SHOCKED when I lit this & my whole tipi lit up more like a 24-40 watt bulb than any standard kerosene hlantern w a wick I've used ! The second photo is the same brand but a smaller style & ok ... but nothing like this one ! Who knew u could get this much light from a wick alone ! I'm ordering a second one now & giving away all my other barn lanterns coz they won't b needed anymore ! Great lantern !

Beautiful turquoise Oil Lamp
We live rurally in Kentucky and have a lot of power outages. I wanted a decent looking oil lamp for any prolonged power outages. I was looking for a big enough one to lighten our living room. We own small battery operated camping ones but I wanted something more substantial for the house. This one fit the bill. We haven’t had to use it yet but it’s good t have should the need arise. I bought lamp oil and extra wick for it too. My son-in-law saw it and wanted to know where we got it as he liked it too.

Nice Lantern for the money
Great Lantern for the money. I really love the big tank for camping. The globe seems to be high quality and the lantern is a bit better than you expect now days with stuff made in.....ugh....China. The mechanism which raises the globe is a tad stiff but I am sure it will wear in. I am taking care when raising it so as not to bend the lever. I knocked off a star because I ordered the blue and received the bronze....no big deal really but all the same....more care should be taken in the shipping dept. If this was the only color they had....email me and let me know.Update: Dec. 14, 2019 Well....I might have spoken a bit too soon. The thing leaks. Not bad....but it leaks and yes I only filled it 75% or less. There is a flat spot on the tank rim about 1" long where it apparently took a lick. I think this must have occurred before it was shipped because the packaging and protection was excellent. Not sure if it would have been at the factory or what. At any rate, it is a very slow leak and I will attempt a repair with my favorite fix for many things ...J-B Weld. If that does not work I will try some silver solder. All in all I am still pleased with the purchase.

Top Grade Lantern
The Dietz No.80 Blizzard Lantern is great for lighting areas with a good light, I was well pleased with the purchase. It works quite well for a stationary light as it is quite large, the tall globe and wide flame really makes a good light. I prefer the Dietz D-Lite and Air Pilot and Little wizard for carrying lights as The Dietz 80 works so well that the light tends to blind you unless you carry down at your side. The short globe of the D lite,Air pilot and little wizard tends to shade your face from the brightness while carrying a lantern. The Dietz No. 80 is however a really good investment against darkness, power outages from storms and used while camping. It is i guess the brightest wick lantern made, even surpassing the D Lite and Air pilot with a much larger flame. You will be pleased with the Dietz No. 80, trying to find a brighter lantern would put you in the propane lantern or pump up type lanterns, however my personal experience taught me during storms, disasters and other calamities, the stores will be emptied of batteries, Coleman fuel, mantles and propane bottles the first day of the power outage. The Dietz Lanterns with a gallon or two of kerosene will take care of the situation without worrying about batteries going dead,or Coleman Fuel getting old or the lack of propane cylinders. If you take care of it it will last a lifetime, buy a few spare wicks put them away and set back and be comfortable.Cortes is a A one company to deal with and I have bought several lanterns from them without worry.
