EvoShield Performance Rib Shirt

This is a really cool product! Even better than I expected. The gel molds and hardens and looks very protective.

I waited a few weeks before reviewing this one. I got this for my son (13yo, 110lbs, slender). We got the adult small, the shirt fits snug (like it should) and it still has room for the ”pads”. We followed the instructions for molding (can’t sit for 30 min while it’s molding). We also went to the products website to watch video tips on molding the shells. We found it easier to put the shirt on, then insert the shells.My son has used it for a few practices and games as a running back. He still feels the hit, but he feels it does a great job at protecting his ribs. It also doesn’t get in the way of his shoulder pads and back plate.

The second I opened this package up I knew this shirt was made of the highest standards and I was correct, it is everything it promises to be. You get this high quality shirt and the rib protectors that are perfect for sports that could cause injury. We are currently into a lot of MMA/Boxing at my house and that is our use for it but I would strongly recommend it for football players and other contact sports too.When your rib protection is forgotten or fails you will sadly remember it every single time you breathe so prevention is always best. My husband was the one who actually tested this item out since he is the one who is most likely to take a hit to the ribs, he used to be a fighter and has had many broken ribs and for some reason everyone still wants to take a "crack" at him because even though he's much older now and has some health issues, he was pretty tough when he was younger and is still hard to beat so when the guys practice with boxing & MMA style fighting, beating him is still an honor apparently but they can rarely get him out without "cheap shots" so he really does kind of need this kind of protection because they all sometimes get aggressive enough to make me nervous at times and he said that this item is really comfortable and furthermore, he uses it on his own without being told so that tells me that he does trust it for protection.4 stars!*If this review helped you make an informed choice about this product in any way I would appreciate it if you take a moment of your time and let me know by hitting the Helpful button and letting me know. My son injured a rib playing goalie in a soccer game. He was able to return to the field in one week with great protection and no fear of getting hurt again. Once completely healed he was back a goalie. The Rib Shirt gave him great protection and confidence. The fit is great and molds to the shape of his rib cage. This was worth every bit we paid for it. He was devastated that he would not be able to play after his injury but he was able to return sooner than expected. He was under the care of a Sports Medicine Doctor so he was monitored closely.

I purchased this for my son to wear under his football pads for high school football and was very pleased with it. The shirt is on the pricier end for this type of product, but he loved that it did not add a lot of padded bulk under his jersey. It comes with two pads that will be molded for a fit customized to the wearer's body. * Make sure you read the instructions before opening the shirt or starting the molding process.As a side note, I would like to see this shirt come in a sleeveless option as my son actually cut the sleeves off.

Very lite but has maximum protect of the rib area!!! Well worth the money

My son is 6 ft and 160 pounds. I ordered the small because he is tall and skinny. It fits perfectly and gives great rib protection.

The shirt is nice. The padding is good. But I honestly think it’s priced a little high. Kids grow out of stuff too fast.

The two shields worked fine, but the size of the shirt is not as indicated. I ordered a medium based on my weight and height, but it was way too tight, so I returned it and ordered a large size. I expected this would be a better fit, but it was identical to the medium and is also way too tight. I have a 40" chest, 174 lbs and 5'7" tall, so can't believe I will need an extra large???? I broke a rib playing hockey and so wanted this to provide better protection playin while the rib healed. It was so tight I couldn't breath and had to "peel" it off after only5 minutes. Frustrated with the sizing!!!
