You can leave on all day and night .
I like how they don't have a fan and it just a radiant heat source so they consum very little batty power. Just so I can turn one off. I use two of them 100w 12volt setting it works great . I placed one under driver and front passenger seats. I have a 200amp lithium battery with a 40 amp DC to DC charger . Just my drive time to and from work 30min.it keeps up no problem . Because I leave them on as trickle heat you can definitely tell a difference inside temperature of work van and outside temp . But most important they are safe to use they are made to leave on 24/7.

This is extremely small
Not what I was thinking it was. I'll probably just keep it for a future project.

Low wattage and very little heat!
I wanted a supplemental heater for my Suzuki and didn’t expect much for such a low wattage. I was right! Not much better than a candle. Don’t waste your time or money on this product!!!

beware the thermal limiting
I bought this to heat up an enclosed space for an experiment, and I needed the rated 100 watts of heat. What I didn't understand from the rather confusingly-worded description is that the built-in "energy saving feature" means that the heater output drops drastically as the heater temperature rises. (I assume this is to keep it from starting fires, not for "energy saving".) The end result is that it only developed about 30 watts in air, and even mounting it directly to a PC-type cooling fan at max speed would not give more than 65 to 75 watts of heat output. So rating it at 100W is perhaps a bit misleading - at best you will need a LOT of cooling air to get there. Other than that, it worked fine although it didn't meet my need.

No airflow and it will get to 200C
Impressive little 12v 100 watt heating element. I picked up four of these to use as an air preheater project on an auto engine similar to way Dodge uses a preheater on their diesels. I've checked each out and while they may register about 3.7 ohms when cold the resistance quickly decreases when power is applied. In addition, while the units I bought are rated 100 Watts at 12 volts they will definitely generate more wattage out with increased voltage. I saw as high as 128 watts when operating at 14.4 volts. These PTC heaters are really designed for forced air cooling to get the best results. I combined the four units into an intake plenum and used a 44 cfm muffin fan for an airflow test. At full fan speed the outlet was producing about 120F. By reducing the airflow to half or less the outlet temps would rise to 170+F. I'll probably add a thermal snap switch to cut power to the relay operating the heaters at 140F so they aren't trying to melt any surrounding plastics.Overall I'm very pleased with the PTC heaters. If you are looking for a means to warm a small area with hot air then these are a good option.

Great price, well made / good quality works well for my application.

I'm sure it's great.
I didn't realize it's a 220v when I ordered it, but I can't complain since it was like $6. I've read I can wire it up to a 110v outlet to get 1/4 the power out of it, which is only 75w. Not sure how to even hook it up for that though since the cables aren't labeled hot/neutral/ground. I've got a few other PTC elements for DC that work great, so I know what to expect with them. If I ever have a need for heat located near a 220v outlet I'll have this one to try out.
