Very nice hamster cage once you add some re-enforcements
I bought this cage for my Syrian hamster. The size was wonderful and it was great to have that extra level. The scent of this wood is very strong. You will need to air this cage out for a few days once you get it. Do not place your hamster in it until it has aired out a little. The scent will go away. But it is so strong at first. Please keep your hamster safe by airing it out for a few days first.Hamsters need 10-12” wheels and when you add one the only place possible will be the second level. Here are some ways to keep your hamster safe:-Please attach your wheel to the side of the cage because if you don’t then it could fall over possibly trapping the hamster under it.-you will not it be able to have the third level in the cage once you add the appropriate sized wheel in there. That’s ok. The cage still offers a lot of space.-the Ramps are a little steep. I would highly suggest getting some popsicle sticks and gluing them down to allow the hamster better traction to go up and down. You could also add popsicle sticks to the sides of the ramp as a safety rail. I used simple cheap wire cutters to make the popsicle sticks the correct size and non toxic hot glue to glue them down. Be careful not to add so much glue that it comes up from the sides because the hamster might eat it-The top of the cage is not very securely stapled down. Please please add a bunch of staples to secure it or maybe even staple another layer of chicken wire if you can, as any animal like a cat could jump on top and it might possibly cave in. So please be careful and reenforce it with extra staples. Make sure the staples are secure and do not fall out. Hamsters will put anything in their mouth and that would be bad.-my hamster started peeing in the corner and the pee soaked into the wood. The scent became bad. I could not find anything safe to coat the wood in. Someone suggested polyurethane but that is not safe and the smell is horrible and could harm your hamster. Please make sure that if you use a substance to coat the wood that it is non toxic and the fumes cannot harm your hamster. Let it dry completely before letting your hamster back into the cage. I just made sure I scrubbed the corners daily with hot water. I did end up buying sand dishes for each corner and shoved them into the corners so he would pee in those instead of the wood.-my hamster did start to chew at the edges of the bottom floor, however, the cage was sitting on the floor. Despite chewing into the bottom tray, he could not chew through the walls and escape. Keep an eye on what your hamster is doing when you clean your cage because you don’t want him chewing through and escaping. My hamster didn’t chew a lot so I didn’t worry.Overall it was a wonderful cage. The plexiglass offered a nice view and the top of the cage allowed plenty of fresh air. It was easy to clean. The space was wonderful. I filled the bottom with his bedding, little houses, and sand Boxes. On the bottom I also placed his food and a water bottle that I attached to the side of the cage. On the second level I placed his wheel and another house And toys . Looking back now, I would have used popsicle sticks to add railing to the second level. But also, my hamster kind of liked jumping off the second level into his bedding. It wasn’t that high and he didn’t get hurt because I did have a lot of bedding on the bottom.Side note- I would keep my cage in another room separated from my other pets like cats or dogs. Please do not allow cats or other pets to malinger near your hamster cage as the scent of those animals could frighten your hamster.Update: I bought another one of these cages and the design was a little different from the first one, which I love. The first one did not have the chicken wire material on the side.....it was all wood. The newest one has the chicken wire material and my hamster loves it because she can stick her nose out and get fresh air. The other one only had ventilation on the top. This new design is great for her.

Works really well for Bearded Dragons
I know that this is for hampster, gerbils and guinea pigs but honestly, it really works well for bearded dragons. The wire on top is large enough to hold the long UVB light that bearded dragons need (I am temporarily using a small one as my large one broke) and a basking light. The levels are wide enough for bearded dragons to not only walk on but turn around on without slipping. Each level also allows for bearded dragons to have hot, warm and cool spots. It is a bit larger then a standard 40 gallon take and has more room in it. I am not done decorating PomPom's (my son named him. No idea where he got the name from) habitat. However, once fully decorated PomPom will still have lots of room to move about without climbing on or over things. Lots of room. This is a good option for a person who wants lots of room for their bearded dragon but lives in a one bedroom apt. It can be put up on a dresser and is easily picked up (when mostly empty) to be moved. Lots of air flow too. The wood is soft so I would not think it would be good for any animal that likes to chew on things, but as long as the animals are not chewers should work just fine. The only things that are a possible nuisance is; the bottom is really shallow so would scrape all your substrate off on to whatever your habitat is sitting on. This does not bother me as I spot clean right as my bearded dragon goes potty. If you feed live insects you will need to use a dish that the insects cannot get out of. If crickets or any thing that can jump they would easily be able to escape this habitat.Other then those two things this is a very nice set up. I will be recommending this to other small reptile owners.

Perfect cage for my new bearded dragon
Love how the cage have 3 levels. It's big plenty of light and shades spots which is perfect for my bearded dragon. I will decorate three different environments or ideas. Only thing 2 things I had problem with it was plexiglass was already smoked/ scratched by time I opened which is weird, the sliding door wish I can close and open it with some lock mechanism when the window frame is closed, you would have to open the window frame to remove the sliding plexiglass completely. I gave star off due to the plexiglass scratches not high end plexiglass.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AND THIS PRODUCT
The Item have arrived in a damaged packaging but that was not a big deal as the item inside was not damage nor missing any item, but the packaging material is very thin and flimsy. The product while I agree is very easy to assemble but the quality of the material is questionable.problem with the product1) The Glass provided is very thin and can potentially easily break and cut our little children2) the wire mesh is very thin and have a lot of sharp edge that can scratch the children and their pet3) the actual wood material itself is very soft but the metal bracket is ok and stableproblem with the seller1) I have requested a return of the item, the seller make it very difficult to return or refund the item---- first offering a partial refund----- then offering the actual partial refund of 20%-----then now offering a full refund but I need to dissamble the product (which is not a problem) but to return the item in the ORIGINAL CARTON.to add insult to this process: I am being ask to pay return shipment.
