I was sold on the duty cycle compared to other units in the market this unit has no cool down period. Most units in the market have to cool down for an hour after 5 minutes of use (look up duty cycle).This winch is a workhorse. I have used it to pull trees and material uphill. My ONLY complaint about this little machine is that is is very Very VERY SSSSSSSLLLLLOOOOOWWWWWW. For long distances, this might not be suitable. In my case, I can only pull 20 feet a time, at a pace of about 2 feet per minute (estimated). Once I have finished pulling a 20 foot distance, I have to break down the entire set up, anchor another 20 feet out, pull the slack, and get to winching. Moving about 100 feet can take an hour up hill. But the single 2.5 ah battery can handle all that winching.A little tip I will share for releasing the clutch. Sometimes the clutch won't release the winch even though the clutch release is manually set to disengage. When it gets stuck, gently tap the winch on the ground and 9 times out of 10, the clutch will release.Perhaps the capstan model is more applicable in my case.

Awesome cordless winch for loading trailers, or as a overhead crane. Pull speed seems pretty close to advertised free spinning. Not sure if it is good for max rating, but it was strong enough to load a 1500lb buggy onto a trailer unassisted and helped a 4 ton truck out of sand. Great accessory to take on an off roading trip for those off-angle winching needs.

I would agree with most of the other reviews. For us we didn’t need a lot of travel and I was ok with the slow movement. It saves someone from hurting themselves by trying to move more weight than is safe.

This product could not life the tail gate on my utility trailer, which is why I purchased it after checking out it's capabilities. Very disappointed.

I used it 5 times to move my kayak. And it stop pulling. I contacted the seller . They they were shipping it out to me . And never received tracking that it was on its way. And will not return my emails. I hope Amazon would help me. Im back Thay ARE sending a replacement, it took my emails , and 3 weeks but they just shipped it. So it worked out OK. Received replacement it works but missing sticker for cable in and out. And shipped with no packaging stuffing at all all banged up. Surprised it work. Would not recommend. Ok I just received a brand new one. Now I am satisfied. It toot about a month for new replacement. But it's fine . I think I would recommend.

We purchased this unit to assist in getting our horse carriage into the trailer. With both power in and power out functions, this Landworks winch has literally saved us tons of back-breaking work. It's retrieval speed is sufficient to allow for ease of pulling the carriage into the trailer and ease of letting it slowly out. I highly recommend this unit.

Customer service went above and beyond to help me get what I wanted, including optional parts. Paul (customer service) followed up with phone calls to make sure the orders were right on. Great winch

It's easy to use and like the release so you don't have to wear the battery down getting to the length you need.
