Targeting Pronunciation: Communicating Clearly in English

the book covers many of the topics that non native speakers want to improve. I like it, my pronunciation teacher recommended us this and we worked through all the chapters, and now is easy to understand and speak more clearly; because you can find out the different sounds, vowels, consonants and phonics that made a huge difference when you are trying to communicate with others. just keep practicing at home with the cd's, and everywhere paying attention to people articulation, linking, and pronunciation, it helps a lot. I am a native Spanish speaker, and I'm trying to reduce my very strong accent and this book and the class have helped me a lot. :) I'd really recommend this book.

Not bad for what it is. Covers the basics from how to pronounce to rhyming sentences and such. Optional CD set go through the basics of pronouncing the various chapters. A classroom book, so if you're self teaching, Pronounce it Perfectly in English would be a better audio + book to start with. Perfecting Your English Pronunciation with DVD is the far better choice for those that need to see what's going on.

I like it, it is used but in excellent condition.

My pronunciation teacher use this book in my college. It is great book! it has a lot of exercise to practice.

it is perfect to learn the correct and right pronounce for every letter . and i use it for studying English in USF

The book came without CDs. I realized I had to select another selling option but "no CDs" feature was not clearly identified by amazon.com. I had to return it. Not sure why it is sold so: it is useless without the CDs.

I ordered this book because was requested for my English teacher and it suppose to come with a CD but when I received it there was no CD, I returned it and clearly told Amazon the problem was the missing CD, unbeliveble they send me the book again without the CD!, the book without CD is useless!! Don't order this book from here because you will not receive the CD!

This book is not very new and it seems a little expensive, so I decide to gave 4 stars, but if the book is cheaper, I will give 5 stars:)
