Q: Does this fit the 3018 prover?

It requires you to 3D print a 52mm bracket. Ve sure to write Sainsmart for the bracket - it's a perfect fit and works with the end stops. Be *very* careful when removing the Z-axis bearings. They are 35mm bearings and are impossible to find. In fact, you should buy LM8SUU (short 17mm) bearings x 4 in case you mess up and some balls come out of the bearings. Those are easier to find. Print the bracket at least 80% solid, reassemble your machine, and you're in business. It works quite well.

I had to purchase a new Z axis holder to use this spindle - it is not a take the old one out and put the new one in situation.

Q: what do I use for a power source. do I just modify a wall plug cord to wire the converter?

It comes with a 3-prong power cord which you connect to the terminal screws on the power supply. I attached crimp terminals to the ends of the power cord for a better connection.
