Gifts & Decor Ocean Blue Glass Azul Serenity Hanging Candle Lantern

I feel like this is something they would sell in retail stores like Target or Macy's for an outrageous $45 bucks. But at the price, I bought It I can say I feel I got every penny worth.PROS:*Looks fantastic when you hang it up over a window so the light shines through it, casting magical patterns on your wall at certain times of day (if hit by direct sunlight).*Seems well built. It's not the normal cheap quality you come to expect from merchandise that is likely from China or India.*The glass isn't crap glass that breaks really easily. I know because I dropped it like three times while trying to move in a rush LOL. (granted twice on carpet and once on grass).CONS:So I am a little afraid to put an actual candle in there because I think it might smoke up the glass. BUT there does seem enough spaces between the fittings and glass to let off any smoke. But this isn't really a con, because for the price you are paying it's cheap enough you don't have to worry if it does stain the glass.FINAL THOUGHTS:It's REALLY nice when you buy something on amazon and ACTUALLY FEEL like you got what you paid for, and weren't fooled by the picture (as far as home decore goes.ABout to buy a couple more. :)

Be prepared for green to work in your space if you order the blue. Otherwise, it arrived in shape and was packed well wit minimal plastic and no nasty Styrofoam. Always a plus. I did not expect an exceptionally well-crafted piece. It is stamped out within seconds in China on mass assembly lines. However, it's rustic in it's misfit hinges and doors. These are easy to bend to line back up so the door closes and the pin slides down to keep it shut. Expect to do a little fenagling to shore it up before use. No big deal. Cgeck the chain links before hanging the lantern. Many links needed closing with a plyers. Time will tell if the colored glass is an applied plastic sheet that will peel and flake. All said, I would consider buying more.

This little lantern is just beautiful! I love the color of the glass. The chain is the perfect length. I put an LED tealight in it which isn't as bright as say a real candle but it looks nice.UPDATE: After hanging on my balcony for about a week or so....that beautiful azure blue glass turned a yellowish green. I personally find it an ugly shade of green. I am certain that this is due to sun exposure. Perhaps these were intended as indoor only items. Just a note to other buyers that if you intend to hang it outside or in a sunny room, you probably won't have a beautiful blue lantern for long...so if you are okay with yellow-green its all good. I would have found somewhere inside to put it if I had realized what it would do. It happened so fast that I didn't even notice it happening...just that all of a sudden it wasn't blue anymore.

I love the light it's beautiful except the glass color is not ocean blue like I wanted. It's very much Emerald green! Disappointed😞

Ordered a few of these, and had to return 2 bc they arrived broken. None of them were well packaged, so it was hit or miss if they arrived in one piece. This one - the glass is not as blue as in the picture. Thought it was green until I held it up side by side to the green one, so I guess this is more of a green/blue color, which wasn’t what I wanted, but it arrived unbroken and is pretty enough so I’m keeping it. Wish the hanging chain was longer. Not as “solid” as thought it might be. There is a place for a tea light.

I hung these up in both sides of our bed and my husband loved them, we do belegarth and the sca so were always looking for things that we can use to spruce up our tent as well as our home. So were going to be using these while camping and if they get broken at least their not expensive to replace. I bought the hangers on Amazon as well, be careful if your going to put tea lights in them especially candles the chamber is really small and some of the glass was loose when I got mine so I pushed on the little pegs inside down on the glass being careful not to brake it as it is brital but tightened them up just fine. I will see about the dying green on them as everyone talks about it. Their more for the inside of our tent. Thanks for a great product.

Great little lantern. The construction quality is excellent, the glass is solidly mounted to the metal frame, which itself seems solid. It has a double-door latch system which allows easy access for inserting or removing candles. I've been successfully using it with citronella candles in a votive holder. It puts off an attractive blue glow, which can be adjusted in intensity based on the candles you use. Could also easily mod it to be LED powered if you wanted, ample space to run a wire and disguise a switch.

It's green, not blue, but I bought it because of the review pics, I like the color more
