I’ve used the Krinner Christmas Tree Genie XL for three holiday seasons now, and I can confidently say it has transformed how we set up our (very large) Christmas tree. Every year, my wife insists on bringing home a 14- or 15-foot tree from the farm. We used to spend hours wrestling it into position with a traditional stand — screws, tools, arguing, floor damage, the works.This stand completely changed that experience. Setup is incredibly simple. You just place the tree in the center, press the foot pedal to tighten the internal clamps, and it locks in place securely. We’ve never had an issue with stability, even with a tall, heavy tree fully decorated.It holds a surprising amount of water (over 2.5 gallons), which helps keep the tree fresh longer. There’s a water level indicator on the side, which is a great feature that saves us from guessing or overfilling.While it’s not cheap, the build quality justifies the price. It’s sturdy, well-balanced, and durable. The clamps feel strong, and the base is wide enough to prevent tipping. I’m confident we’ll use this for years to come.✅ Pros: Fast setup, excellent stability, large water reservoir, intuitive design❌ Cons: Bulky to store, higher price point (but worth it if you get large trees annually)

TLDR: easy & convenient to use with a small learning curve. If you get very skinny trees, pick the base size closest to the height you usually get. Great for crooked tree trunks but when inserting the tree, ensure the trunk is centered in the base and trim off any branches and knots that will be in the way of the clasps.This is an amazing quality stand. Definitely read the directions before and you’ll notice that it says to only fill the water until the floater just pops up. It can def hold a lot of water and the float is super helpful.I have the XXL and a 7-8ft tree so I could have gotten the M-L but wanted a stand that could grow with us if we lived somewhere we could have a much bigger tree. I noticed that our trunk is on the skinnier side and if you get trees with skinnier trunks, I would stay closer to the appropriate max height size as I’m not sure this one could hold well a tree too much skinnier than ours.Haven’t had issues with ours *leaking* water on its own per se. Which the instructions note can happen with overfilling and improper storage. But we had an issue where we had to move the stand around once it already had water in it and I noticed a tiny bit leaked out around the bottom so just be aware.Now for possibly the most important thing I noticed- the stand can 100% hold straight a very crooked tree trunk *IF* you make sure your tree is centered in the stand and you trim off any branches or knots that are close to where the feet that hold the tree in place are!!!!The people who cut our tree cut it at a HORRIFIC angle and we didn’t have the tools to fix it ourselves when we noticed it. The first two times we tried to install we had issues with it not being straight no matter what we did and leaning worse and worse every time we looked at it.BUT we got under the tree and noticed that 1. Our tree was definitely off centered within the base and 2. some low branches and some significant knots in the wood were preventing 2 of the clasps from fully and firmly engaging the trunk- the corners of the clasps were hitting and getting stopped by branches and knots. So the clasps closest to the tree were basically pushing the tree sideways toward the clasps that were barely engaging the tree.We recentered the tree in the stand and trimmed off the lowest branches with gardening shears and used an old knife to trim down the knots and once we did that, all the clasps were able to equally engage the trunk and we have had no issues yet.Also, I echo what others have said about only tighten until you feel it stop, don’t over tighten or you will have issues!Overall, I would definitely recommend this stand to everyone. It has a small learning curve but is super easy otherwise!!

We ordered this a few weeks before Christmas. but shipping delays indicated it would arrive too late, so we bought the identical model locally )50 miles away!) and canceled the order. (Of course the Amazon order arrived earlier than indicated, but we already had the tree mounted in the other unit!) So... our experience was with the identical unit.Mounting the tree was as easy as I've ever experienced. Gone are the days of twiddling screws endlessly to coerce a tree to be vertical. (You still benefit from a partner who can identify vertical while you're laying under the tree.)Adding water is easy enough if you have a long-spout watering can -- it holds a decent volume of water as you experience on first-filling. There's a water-level indicator - a float that rises up through the base - and you should orient this indicator for best visibility when you place the base.Dismounting the tree was trivial - the mechanism releases quickly pushing a button.The base's weight is impressive - that and the width give it the stability. It's even more impressive when you've removed the tree: at this point the base is burdened with the remaining water - a fair volume! You might want help carrying it somewhere to dump the water, or you might bring in a bucket to pour off the water. After emptying it, we gave it a week in corner to dry out before packing it up for next year.We're quite satisfied with this! Our only hesitation in recommending it is the price, but I don't know of a comparable, better-priced product.
