Evelyn Grant Chalky Finish Furniture Paint provides vintage chalky matt finish. Paint is formulated to be used directly on onto bare or painted furniture. Evelyn Grant Chalky Finish Furniture Paint is easy to work with and need little preparation. Leaves a wipeable finish can be treated with wax after application. Product is water based and has low VOC level and virtually no odour. Preparation: For best results, ensure surface is clean and free from wax or oil. If wax has been used clean the surface thoroughly with white spirit. We recommend that bare wood should be sanded before painting. Application: Stir thoroughly prior to use. The product may be applied by brush or roller. If applying by brush, apply evenly following the grain of the wood. If rolling, use a short nap mohair roller. To create a distressed look, apply two coats in contrasting colours. Allow to dry and then lightly abrade with moistened sand paper or stainless steel scoring pad - abrade with the grain of the wood. Coverage: Up to 12m2 per litre. Coverage may vary depending upon method and rate of application and porosity of surface. Drying Time Touch dry in 1 hour. We recommend applying two coats if used on bare surface after 2 hours. Fully hardens after 24 hours. Once paint is thoroughly dry, use moistened sand paper or stainless steel scoring pad to distress furniture. Clean Up: Equipment with water. Do not empty into drains or water courses. Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings.

Thick chalky French grey
I loved this paint so much. I used it to upcycle some furniture and it did the job brilliantly. It’s at Ely chalky grey and of excellent quality.

Very pale lemon colour
Paint covered well, though needed 3 coats over very dark wood. The colour is very pale lemon , I probably should have ordered the darker shade but it looked nice anyhow .

Excellent service and a great quality product. Easy to apply. Dries to a lovely smooth finish even on a polished surface. Water based therefore easy to clean the brushes. Very happy with my new painted kitchen table.
