This Product

I read reviews for everthing, but seldom post anything about stuff I purchase. Which is a bit hypocritical, and is why I am making an effort today to write a review about this particular item. This stuff is by far the best beauty item i have ever bought!!! And i have tried it all, Expensive face creams, eye creams,face washes. I was originally looking for an oil for my hair, but read a review about a lady who used it for her face. Her story was very detailed and everything she described sounded like the exact thing i was going through with my face. I won't say everything but in short; the older she got, the drier her skin got, with an oily T zone and roseaca. And it worked great for her. I also get small whitheads on my nose and cheeks. Not huge, but i get them even on dry areas of my face. My skin condition confused me. How can my face be so dry and oily at the same time. Creams worked for a few hours but eventually left my face dry and flaky and oily around my nose and forehead. I was hesitant at first to put an oil on my face scared my face would completely break out. To me oil on ur face = pimples. Even when i first got it i only used it on my body and hair. On my body, i love it. It makes ur skin glow. I would rather use it than the stinky self tanners i have. It doesn't take long to absorb but u do have to wait a little while. On my hair, i don't like it. Maybe some people can put oil in their hair but i can't stand it. I hate the greasy feeling. Maybe im not using it right. Finally when i got brave enough to try it on my face i was amazed!!! No more greasy flaky skin. My face was actually smooth and soft and it felt like that all day. I later started adding an aloe vera gel to some of my drier areas ( at first the oil was enough but i guess after my face got used to it i needed a little more moisture). But i really couldnt believe it worked and no more little whiteheads. This oil didn't get rid of my wrinkles or reverse my aging but it made my skin feel soft and youthful again. Which is more than any wrinkle cream has done!!! I pretty much use it everyday. I know there are alot of fake reviews out there these days but i still read them, and i may rely on them for most of my purchases probably more than i should. But I still have faith that there is some truth out there. This little wonder product definitly made me believe that. And i hope this review can help someone else who might have the same problems. I don't really remember the person who made the post but Thank u! Thank u! U made me open my mind to trying more natural products!!!

I purchased this product after lots and lots of research into the oil cleansing method and I have to say that I am quite pleased. I have been using this product on my face every morning for the purpose of cleansing and moisturizing for over a month now. Who would have ever thought that an oil can help to clean your face? Well, against all intuition, it does. This oil does what it claims to do. It does not at all clog my pores. It tightens them. It moisturizes a little, but I find that I need to follow up with a moisturizing non-astringent oil in very very tiny amounts after this oil because this grapeseed oil will tighten my skin and dry it out a little bit. My skin seems to love this stuff; I will massage it into my unwashed, dry face each morning and then follow up with a wet hot washcloth to remove the excess. My face glows like it never did before and I have fewer breakouts. I used to have an oily complexion, but now, my oil is far more tamed because my skin is always moisturized properly with this oil (and jojoba oil as the follow-up moisturizer). Definitely money worth spent. And I don't go through it very fast either; it's gonna last me a long time. The only thing is, there is no USDA organic label on it, so there is no real proof that it is in fact organic. EDITED on May 17, 2014 to add: I have been using this for nearly a year now an I am still pleased with this product. I have a little less than half of the bottle left and there are no signs of rancidity at all. Still smells good. No discoloration. Still getting the same results. It really does cleanse the face. You will never believe that an oil will clean your face until you try it. If you have an oily complexion, you will be mortified like I was to try it--but guess what. It works. And here's why: contrary to everything you've ever heard about acne and skin cleansing, your skin NEEDS and WANTS oil. If you wash it all away and don't moisturize it or replace it with something, your skin is going to react by making EXCESSIVE amounts of oil. I've always had an oily complexion, and it comes right back if I fail to moisturize. I use this oil to cleanse my face but then I follow up with jojoba oil as my moisturizer, and my face is very happy with that, and it keeps the oily complexion away. Ladies, you know that feeling when you wake up in the morning with that icky, oil slick feeling to your face? I guarantee you that will go away if you keep your face moisturized 24/7. After your facewash at night, apply a moisturizer (jojoba oil, very light application, rub it in). In the morning you will not feel the oil slick anymore.

I bought this oil after using their avocado oil. Life-Flo is a great brand. I've never had issues with any of their products. This oil is food grade, cold pressed. It is a lighter weight than their avocado oil, but it works just as well. I use this on my son who is two to help his skin retain moisture (he has severe eczema). I put a cap full in his bath and apply it all over after his bath while he is still damp. His skin is soft and his eczema spots are softer, not as rough, but I still have to apply a layer of Vaseline to his rough patches to keep him from scratching and to keep his spots super moisturized. I use it on his scalp also once a week. I massage it through his hair and let it soak in while he's playing in the tub and I follow it put by shampooing his hair like normal. It absorbs quickly, and I do apply it throughout the day when I change his diaper. It doesn't have a scent to it really, which is a plus since I have to be careful with perfumes with him. It does make your tub slippery if you add it to your bath water, I always clean the tub after his bath to be on the safe side. We usually go through a 12 oz bottle every six months so it lasts a while compared to a gel baby oil (we go through one of them a month if we use it). A little bit goes a long way. This oil used in conjunction with Vaseline and his prescription meds helps keeps his eczema in check, and I have discovered that we are using his prescription med less since we swapped over to this oil. For us this oil is more effective than coconut, avocado, baby oil, ceteaphil, or aveeno. If it's for eczema we have tried it. He's had eczema since he was 3 months old and I feel like we finally found a product that I know is safe to use, it's all natural, no chemicals, and it's within budget.

This is my new heat protector. Pros 1. Made my hair shiny. 2. Doesn't take a lot to get hair straight. 3. Hair came out soft. 4. Hair feels weightless/not weighed down by grease. Not as stiff as with other products. 5. Didn't feel TOO greasy after straightening it. I usually use BB Super Gro when using a straightening comb on my hair. It'd have the same benefits BUT it'd make my hair heavy, REALLY greasy, and it'd take more work to straighten it. I swear, I can't keep my hands off my hair right now! I'm 3/4 Afro A and 1/4 Puerto Rican. I'd say my hair is 4A and relaxed (haven't had a touchup in 3 months, really need to hit the salon). Despite the erm nappiness of my new growth, what usually takes me an hour to straighten, only took 30 minutes. I have NO IDEA how! I only put a little oil on each part, ran the comb through once and it came out stock straight! Then I did another run through just to be sure, but my point, BUY THIS PRODUCT. It's worth the price!!! Another great thing, I was scared my hair would burn or at the very least come out feeling stiff and hard, xD it didn't! Con 1. Smells like omega 3 oil (fishy) when applying, and if i hold my hair against my nose, I can still smell it. This obviously sucks, but if you don't have a man putting his nose in your hair, no one will even notice. Besides that, it's a perfect hair care product.

I decided to try Life-Flo's apricot oil after using their avocado oil, which I love. I use it as I had read that apricot oil was supposed to be thinner than avo oil, but it felt way heavier (almost greasy) on my skin and took a lot longer to fully absorb! I'd end up smudging oil on things frequently, not a problem I had with avocado oil after the first 10-15 mins or so. I also prefer the smell of the avocado oil and the way my skin feels with it to the apricot oil. I'm a litte disappointed. Just a few days ago I figured out that I have to pat all the excess oil off my body after letting my skin absorb it for a bit. It felt so much less oily and lighter. If you're having issues with oiliness, definitely pat off any excess. I'm giving it 4 stars because it does keep my skin very soft and healthy despite my dislikes with it in other areas (my skin is dry and itchy which the oil helps immensely). It's a good product and it works, but I'll be returning to the avocado oil next time.

I bought this based on some of the reviews and also the price point for as much as you get. Almond Oil isn't hard to find and not terribly expensive, so I had options. As with most oils, the best way to keep it, they should be contained in a thicker darker glass bottle - so sunlight and exposure to changes in temperature won't effect it as much. What you aren't paying for with this product is that darker thicker glass bottle. It comes in a plastic clear bottle and for the most part, I was ok with that. I knew I would be using it pretty much everyday as a hair moisturizer (I have very wavy hair), and storing it away from the sun and heat. I've had it a little over two weeks and I really like it. With just a couple drops 2-3 in my palm, I rub my hands together and bring them through my hair. I have found my hair to be softer, have more sheen, holds the curls and less frizz, without it feeling greasy or like its weighted down. Almond oil is also great for the hair because it's rich in protein and full of vitamins and minerals. This products has a light sweet scent to it, which is nice, but not overpowering. The vitamin E that is used as an antioxidant to keep the product fresh is also an added benefit and great for the skin and hair. With this 16oz bottle I should have it for a long time, even with application everyday and I think you will find it to be a great product to use as well.

Recently I became interested in learning how to give a Swedish back massage and that meant first finding the right oil, not lotion, and research all pointed to a "carrier" oil known as 'sweet almond oil.' With little background in one oil over another I chose sweet almond as it has no scent, which is why it is a 'carrier,' it is often blended with exquisite and fragrant essential oils for massage and aromatherapy. I have stayed with just the oil itself, and what a stunner it is, never tacky, beautiful on the skin, perfect for those long sweeping strokes (effleurage) as well as the more intense movements such as kneading, wringing, knuckling, etc. And it retains it's slight sheen as you work the muscles, a little goes a long way! I tend to use quite a bit as I've been adding massage for arm, leg, neck and shoulders. Even with my tendency to use more not less oil it is mostly because once the massage is over the skin remains absolutely glowing. At this point I've added use of this oil to my after shower moisturizing, a light covering and then another coat of whatever lotion I am partial to at the moment, the lotion goes on and blends with the oil in a way that can only be called a luxurious experience. I am so amazed at how well this oil moisturizers and feels that any description you may read about sweet almond oil DOES NOT do it justice. It is tasteless and has no fragrance, when warmed up between the hands it goes on as if the skin was begging for it, lovely oil; any purpose you may have for a body oil try this one, it's a revelation, and I haven't even tried it with essential scented oils yet!

I bought this Avocado Oil about 6 months and have used it almost everyday at night before goin to bed (too oily for daytime, unless mixed with moisturizer which I do if my face is feeling extra dry). These are my results. (I'm a guy btw 24 years old) 1) cleares my breakouts 2) SOFTENS my skin and its glowing every morning. 3) makes my skin more firm and elastic 4) bags/ Lines under my eyes aren't as visible 5)I'm extremely picky with the chemicals I use on my face so the fact that this is 100% natural...you can't go wrong 6) Didnt break me out at all. 7) this could replace a serum for sure and is sooo cheap and this bottle lasts forever! (Still have about 1/8 of bottle left) 8)I'm hooked on avocado oil for life I think. Anyone that is thinking of trying Avocado oil on your face. Try it, you have nothing to lose. I tried it 6 months ago and have been using it ever since. You're putting a natural oil on your face so unless you are allergic, nothing bad should happen vs. putting products with tons of chemicals in them. let me know if you guys have any questions.
