Great value
Just what’s needed for a well-rounded little kit for quick handsewing and repairs.

Nice I think
I don’t remember buying this or what I bought it for but I would give 5 stars because I apparently didn’t return them

My little spools
Hello, my threads arrived, and I immediately sewed up a garment that was in definite need of some TLC. It's a knit swimsuit cover up which is a top and a bottom, that I wear a lot during the hot and humid days of the summer. And due to its high use, I had some thread fraying, snags, and holey areas developed, particularly under the arms. I noticed that the colored threats match a couple of my clothing's perfectly. That's exciting. And the khaki-colored thread rescued my favorite two piece knit pant set! I'm glad I purchased this variety of thread colors of durably strong threads. It also came with a baggy to place the spools. Very economical purchase.

A bit small but great for Travelers anyone wanting many thread colors to mend, repair buttons, etc.
First of all, I like it!I purchased the Singer 00264 24pc Hand Sewing Thread Kit to recreate our sewing kit that apparently snuck off to college and is unlikely to return. I wanted to have a variety of different thread colors available for quick stitches, mending, fixing buttons, adding patches, and other small repairs.TRAVELER'S GODSENDThe needles and threader were not needed but are still a nice bonus. In particular, I do find this type of needle threader to be the easiest style for me to use. I can also see how the needle and threader would be fantastic for anyone trying to quickly mend something while away from home. It's been quite a while since I've seen the small sewing kits in a hotel. If I'm ever traveling for business, a wedding, etc., and the front desk can't help me, I would absolutely track this kit down to do a sewing repair.VALUE-ABLEBecause we had our previous sewing kit for so long, I didn't realize just how much thread costs now! A kit with full-sized spools has roughly half the colors and is 6-8 times the cost of this one. The trade-off is this entire kit has less thread than 2 of those full-sized spools.DRAWBACKSI knew these spools would be small, they were definitely much smaller than what I had in mind. I did include an edited version of Singer's photos so you know what you'll be getting: the actual size of each spool is 1/2" across X 3/4" high with 10 yards of thread. After taking the spools out of their packaging, I tried to organize them in the sewing box tray. They are extremely light, so it was frustrating because I trying to arrange 24 packing peanuts. Out of curiosity, I put all of them on a kitchen scale and they weighed 1oz. That's great for traveling but they are a bit difficult to handle individually, so plan ahead to keep them from getting lost. Finally, this thread is for hand sewing only and is NOT recommended for sewing machines. So put your bobbins down and you'll have to look elsewhere.ADVANTAGESFull disclosure, I haven't actually used the thread yet, but I'm confident it's of relatively high quality and won't repeatedly break during use or after making a repair and coming out of the wash. (I will be updating this review if this does occur.)Another plus is that, just like their larger cousins, every spool has a slit to pass the thread thru. I know it it might seem like a small thing, but I couldn't deal with 24 small spools unraveling and/or having to search for the end thread to begin sewing. If they didn't have the slit, I would've likely gone thru all 24 spools and created them myself with a sharp utility knife. That would've cost much more than the total price of this kit when I think about my time and safety.Upon reflection, I guess 10 yards per spool/color will be a good amount of thread for the fairly minor fixes that we do and will likely last us quite a while. Regardless, I did add one 500 yd spool of black and another of 250 yd spool of white. They cost nearly double the price of this entire kit.OVERALLIf you're looking for a nice little kit for mending and repairs, this kit is a very good value when compared to full-sized thread assortments. It's an especially good value with Prime, costing as much or less than any of the brick & mortar stores where I've seen them displayed. It's also currently showing next day delivery is available for Prime Members in our area. That's a great option if you're traveling and cannot or don't want to venture out.Happy Sewing!

A nice assortment of threads
One evening I spent over 4 hours looking for a specific needle and finally found one. I realized I didn’t have a modern assortment of threads so I came onto Amazon to find something I could use. I got these by Singer and I’m happy with them even if the aren’t large amounts. They will do the job and then some. I would recommend this assortment of threads.

Handy Little Kit
The 'SINGER 00264 Polyester Hand Sewing Thread, Assorted Colors, 24 Mini-Spools' kit I received came with a zip-lock type bag in which to keep the sewing kit, the idea being to remove the cardboard backing and put the kit in the bag. If you don't know what the little thin piece of metal piece with embossed side view of a woman's head and tiny loop is about, it's for threading a needle. Simply push the tiny loop through the eye of the needle, put one end of the thread through the loop, then pull the loop back through the eye of the needle; that way, you don't have to try and push the end of the thread through the needle's eye. A good companion with this kit is the 'Singer Comfort Grip Seam Ripper, Blue/White 2 Piece' set. Both seam rippers fit in the zip-lock type bag that came with my sewing kit.
