This cookware is pretty awesome. Is very consistent in its performance and beautiful to handle. I was looking for high end cookware and spoke to a number of "foodies and chefs" and they all recommended this line. I could not afford the copper plus the upkeep seems to be a bit intensive but this SS line is great. No hotspots, all pieces are oven safe and easy to clean if you use as directed. I cook 4-6 days a week and am a budding gourmet cook, not a chef. Have been extremely happy with this line. KH Wilmington, DE

I bought the 11.8 inch version through Mauviel's website. Aesthetically the pans is great, and its performance was very good until it warped after a few uses. I never use my non-cast iron pans on anything other than medium or lower heat, and never heat them for extended periods without oil, water, or food in the pan. I contacted Mauviel for a replacement through their lifetime warranty. Mauviel has refused to replace the pan claiming that the warping falls outside of their warranty. My cookware collection includes pots and pans from Sardel, Made In, Mauviel, Cuisinart, Lodge, and de Buyer. So far only the pan I've had an issue with is the Mauviel. The fact that a $140 5 ply stainless steel pan can't stand up to regular use and that a company as old as Mauviel won't honor their warranty is extremely disappointing.
