Love this deer head mount! We bought the black and sprayed the antlers Copper to match our office decor. Husband did add tiny ‘set’ screws to the antlers as he was afraid of them coming off.

I struggled with fireplace mantel decor. Do I want a mirror? A painting? I thought a mirror would be pointless since it would have to be placed so high. Paintings were also difficult due to two different ceiling heights that cut into this area. So I discovered faux taxidermy and fell in love! The problem was finding the appropriate size. I think I sent back one or two others because it was too small. This one is perfect I think.My only complaint would be that is is not super sturdy and the hole in the back was off center. We had to take that into consideration when mounting it. The first package I received an antler was broken so had to exchange it. It sort of gingerly fits into a hole in the head. I don't trust that it'll stay so I put some museum puddy inside of it to keep it in place. I didn't want to super glue it in case I want to take the antlers off to put a wreath on.
