Great product. Lousy packaging for shipment.
I love this product. Delicious and much better than competing brands. Can't buy locally so had 8 jars shipped. Unfortunately badly packaged. One jar broke and spilled olive oil with which paste is made all over remaining jars.

Not enough artichoke flavor. Mix it with the olive paste for a nice spread!
Okay, so: I love the MANTOVA OLIVE PASTE, which I usually spread on a small toastedFrench dinner roll. I just bought two more 4-packs of the olive paste, and I decided totry this MANTOVA ARTICHOKE paste. On its own, the artichoke paste tends to be a bit too oily-tasting for me, and there'snot much artichoke flavor, that I can tell. The weird thing is, it has a definite 'hot' biteto it, like garlic - but there's no garlic (or pepper) listed in the ingredients! However, I tried mixing it half-and-half with the olive paste, and they're GREAT together! The artichoke paste nicely counter-balances the salty, tangy olive paste flavor. Delicious!I gave the artichoke paste 4 stars mainly because it doesn't really have enough artichokeflavor to it, IMO. I guess maybe it also depends on how you use it; and what you use it for.For me, the artichoke paste, mixed half-and-half with the olive paste, is yummy. :)I will definitely be buying more, to go with the olive paste.UPDATE: I just ordered 3 more packs of this artichoke paste. It's starting to grow on me.Still not artichoke-y enough, though. But I am definitely liking it more and more.I tried something different: I made elbow macaroni my usual way - cooked, (I do NOT add saltto the water while it's cooking; I add a couple spritzes of sea salt after I drain it). Then I addabout a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil, and a teaspoon of "buttery spread" (I'm vegan). Mixedthis all together, and then I added a teaspoon of the Mantova olive paste mixed with a teaspoonof the artichoke paste, and it was delicious! You can add all kinds of other stuff to this: cook some garlic cloves in with the pasta; you canadd veggies, like maybe chopped broccoli or spinach; even some beans. A nice basil pesto wouldalso mix in nicely, I think. Some grated Parmesan or pecorino Romano cheese would work well, too.Anyway, overall I'm very happy with the Mantova pastes, as pasta toppings and as a spreadfor my toasted French dinner rolls. :D

almost expired..
i've ordered this item (multi-pack) before with no issue, but this time the pack is almost expired already! there's no way i'll use all the jars of this before the expiration date. All i can do now is give some away so it doesn't go to waste - very disappointed this time. It's a terrific product but this experience makes me leery of reordering. too bad...
