Still going strong
This was a replacement for the first one I bought after it developed a faulty with the steamer (wouldn't turn off!) this one works perfectly and makes a really nice coffee (or maybe that's me!!) the milk frother is efficient and a good size and the whole unit is very sturdy. The speed of the heating up is really good and it is very easy to use. Bit recommended for children obviously! The material can be hard to clean but if you clean-as-you-go l, it won't be a problem. The colour is just as advertised and it's a beautiful looking appliance.

Great 1st (ground) coffee machine
This is our first coffee machine that used ground coffee and we are happy. We took a while to learn that it can't operate when too hot (dial to steam shouldn't be used to pour coffee as it will leak everywhere) and we also learnt that the colour cream stains easily hence why we put a cloth over the top) but other than that, no concerns. Sometimes it pours out of one side faster than the other but no issue, we should probably descale it but haven't done so yet. Easy to use and also easy to remember instructions as its not that hard like I've heard some other coffee machine brands can be more difficult and have more steps but this is easy enough.

Don’t hesitate!
I have been reading the reviews on and off for about 4 months before finally deciding to go ahead and buy the machine. At first the coffee tasted awful and like plastic but I did a good wash through with vinegar and water and then water twice and since then the taste has been perfect. It’s really easy to use, heats up quickly and I would say takes about 5 mins to make a coffee. In regards to stains and splatters- if it’s not twisted in tight enough the coffee splatters, but once you have made your coffee clean the machine down immediately and no staining. This is a perfect machine for if you want to start making espresso at home and see if you use your machine enough before making a proper investment! I’m so pleased I took the plunge and bought it. It also is so gorgeous aesthetically!

It smelt of plastic and was unusable
This machine looks great but that is the only good point. When it arrived I was excited to use it so I flushed it through like it recommended and proceeded to make some coffee, when the coffee was made it had a strange smell and it tasted awful so I flushed it through again and all I could smell and taste was plastic which was overpowering my Lavazza coffee I use! After an email directly to Swan I was told most coffee machines smell like this and it is normal! I have had a few machines in my time and none of them smelt like this. Then I was told by Swan that 1 in 1000 machines smell like this which made me wonder why they are not changing the manufacturing process and why am I being given different information.Another email later and I was assured that if I then brought some white vinegar, flush it through yet again then flush through with Lemon juice the problem would be rectified...NOPE still the same plasticy smell coming from the machine and contaminating my coffee.I gave up and went back to my trusty Delonghi machine and problem was solved.A poor product, overly priced.I got a full refund from Amazon.

You get a wonderful coffee every time.
The first thing to know is that it is great value for you money. Then, it is quiet and efficient and produces the goods a that is good cup of coffee. The quality of the coffee depends on the bean and or the grinding not necessarily the machine so that down to experience. The frother does the job, just make sure it's cleaned after use as the milk will clog it up again nothing to do with the machine. So all in all it is an excellent buy for the out lay and pays back with a good cup.Down side is that this colour the off-white does seem to stain, so what I say, it adds character as long as it is clean and keeps providing me with the goods.

It’s a coffee machine
Read the reviews and still went for it. Love the design and colour...but like everyone says...it gets stained so easily by the coffee. No matter how tiny a splash or how quick you are to wipe it off. I don’t like how much water seems to get everywhere too. I have wooden benches and if water was to get left on then, they are ruined. I don’t know why there seems to be water going everywhere...but it does!! The steamer wand is just not quite long enough either. It feels like it just doesn’t come out far enough for my liking anyway. My partner has a sage. The difference is massive, as is the price of course. So you do get what you pay for. He had the one I have now. He really rated his and suggested I purchased it. I do love the design of it and the feel of the material they’ve used. It’s just a shame it stains so readily. All that said...it’s cheap...it looks good and it does make a decent coffee and a frothy one at that. I guess I have got used to my partners machine and I suppose I’m comparing it to that!! Best get him moved in...eh??

Take low scoring reviews with a pinch of salt.
I brought this as it seemed the best out of the more cheaper options and I am not disappointed. Some reviews complained about it being flimsy, cheap, etc but in reality, it's a well constructed machine. The first run is noisy but that's cos of air entering the pump. It can be noisy when operating but not louder than a washing machine. Swan should have used rubber feet not plastic for shock absorption but tbh it does a good coffee. It heats up fast and the dial is easy to read, the steam wand is easy to maneuver and operate. It's small but for compact kitchens like mine it's great! The soft touch plastic is nice and those moaning is gets stained easily, well, ne more careful then? I've made a few and not spilt it. The coffee holder is sturdy, was expecting the handle and accent to be wood but its all soft plastic. The two filters are great, the plastic tamper is nothing to scream about but it does the job.The water tank is generous and easily removable with a carry handle too!Instructions easy to readAll in all I'm glad I chose the Swan one over the Delonghi.
