Must have!
I have cats and dogs. While I don't condone torture, I also don't appreciate their eating plants and becoming ill. One of my dogs also eats soil due to unknown reasons. One particular pot in the house is his go-to snack. This spray has really worked. Yes, it smells and burns much like pepper spray. I suggest turning off all fans prior to application, removing pets and people, spray in moderation only where needed, then leave to allow to dry. It also has a little color but I have not noticed any staining. Basically, don't get this in your eyes, nasal passages, and it may burn your skin a little. Use with caution. I apply this to the foliage and soil as needed. Indoor and outdoor to keep my outdoor friendly cat (colony cat that thinks he's mine) away from my houseplants when they move outdoors. It does seem to work for several days indoors, outside depends upon the weather. Basically just shake, spray, and dry. It's a large spray bottle and it lasts a long time. It doesn't affect the plants at all, no sticky leaves or brown spots. I loved it so much I bought an extra for myself and one for my daughter. I've had my first spray bottle for months and it's not finished yet!

Didn't Work For Me
Unfortunately, this did not deter my cat from chewing up the palm. Or the snake-plant or-- . I wasn't crazy about the garlickly smell, but could have lived with it had it worked... at all. Right after spraying, she resumed destroying her favorite chew-toy.

It works!
This really works! My cat destroyed my plant but since I started using this, he’s no longer interested in it. The first photo shows what it’s supposed to look like. The second photo shows my demolished plant that is finally recovering and now has some new leaves!!!

Repels pets and humans as well
This product is great for preventing cats and dogs from chewing on houseplants that would otherwise make them sick, but the smell left behind is also offensive to some people as well. I don't particularly mind how this stuff smells so long as I can keep some windows open after using it, but my wife absolutely hates it. It's worth it to deter pets from chewing on things that could harm them, but make sure to test this stuff before using it. Applying this product in a small, enclosed space could make some people nauseous. It's best used while your housemates are off to work or school so that the smell can settle down for a few hours. The smell and taste will deter pets for a few days, but humans will also be repelled for a few hours after using this product. Direction indicate using it liberally at first to train pets to avoid problematic areas, but you want to make sure that those pets have safe places to sleep away from the fumes while it settles and dries.

Doesn’t work
Disagreeable odor and doesn’t work at all. Lemon juice and water works well. Waste of money

Works great!
Definitely a value for your money. Bought for my cat who scratches a wooden beam in my kitchen and furniture. Easy to use, just spray in the spot your pet is scratching. It lasts for a couple of days. I do not love the sent. It is almost a bug spray smell but it definitely works!!

Didn't work for me
My dog seems to like the flavor of it. I got it for a houseplant that she has been bothering and it made no difference
