It works if you plug in either a keyboard, or a mouse, separately. If you plug in both… At least one of them will start acting flaky.

This product is a simple 6-pin mini-din splitter, all pins are connected 1:1. This is NOT usable in any way for PS/2 mice and/or keyboards. A proper PS/2 splitter will remap the data & clock pins for the mouse to the two pins normally unused by the keyboard. Seller needs to correct the listing as the splitter does not and cannot function as advertised.

This item didn't work on a MSI B550 motherboard with PS/2 combo port. Keyboard and mouse not recognized and keyboard lights flashed on/off wildly. This is not compatible with laptops that have keyboard on the mouse port on a single jack. This is a straight through Y cable and does not connect keyboard from pins 2 and 6 over to over to 1 and 5.

Been building and repairing systems since 96.This supposed PS/2 combo splitter does not function as it is suppose to. It will however function only with one peripheral connected.

The keyboard works when plugged in directly, but does not when connected to either female side of the splitter whether or not the mouse is connected at the same time. Useless.
